If I was going to get Mass effect 2 do you reckon I should wait for Mass effect 3?

dagLiTcH
Mass Effect 2 is a great action game, I recommend playing it before ME3. Just one warning, get DLCs because otherwise you really won0t have the complete experience.

You can't miss with any of the first three, each is a great game in its own genre. Avoid Dragon Age 2 until it hits the bargain bin, it is just not worth the full price.

I hope this is some joke or a fan video but it looks real enough. Now for the first time I see a clear picture of what is Microsoft future of PC gaming. Scary stuff

The only games I know for sure I'm getting this year are:

NFS Shift 2: Unleashed

Mass Effect 3

Gears of War 3

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Is there anything awesome that I'm missing and should look at? I know theres a ton more coming out and I'll probably get about five or six more than these.

Which ones look the best?

did you ever play dragon age origins and liked it? If so, DA2 is fun, Rage looks good as well

I played and liked DA:O and that is why i didn't like Dragon Age 2, played it at a friend and I don't consider it a good RPG to begin with so if he liked DA:O there is a high chance of not liking the sequel. Apparently I am not lonely in my dislike of DA2,. Rage however looks good.

I was thinking about getting a simple RPG for my laptop. I'm not looking for anything big like Oblivion, I have that for my desktop back home. I'm just wondering if what anyone thinks about Torchlight. It looks like a lot of fun; I really enjoyed Fate back in the day and this looks similar. Also, I was looking at Fate: Undiscovered Realms and Traitor Soul. Which would be a more worthwhile buy?

mariomaster16

I liked Torchlight, it is a fun Hack & Slash game, if you liked Fate you are probably going to like this one as well. The one RPG that I always keep installed on my laptop is Icewind Dale + expansions.

Is Icewind Dale D&D? cuz i know absolutlely nothing about that. I tried playing Shadows of amn, and suck horribly at it.

Yeah, it's AD&D, same engine as Shadows of Amn but a much more relaxed game. You create all six members in the beginning of game, it is hack & slash heavy and has in my opinion one of the best game soundtracks ever.

Big deal, like few balloons are going to create an ecocide. If you are so worried about the environment why don't you protest against industry, cars and CO2 emissions? But no a few balloons will literally choke the wildlife, yeah right.

True, but still. News is news. Unless it's something especially damning, I would think that GameSpot would be able to get away with it. I know things work differently in the videogame industry and all, but really shouldn't stop game journalists from actually doing their job.

Regardless, it seems like a moot point now, as EA retracted the ban and chalked the whole matter up to a simple glitch. Don't know if I buy that, though. Sounds to me that they realized all the bad press they were getting and decided to try and push it aside as if it was nothing in the hopes that it wouldn't hurt their image.

S0lidSnake

Yeah, a glitch. It had nothing to do with the media and public backlash. On the bright side, if cases like this would happen more often it might remind us all, both consumers and publishers/devs, to that old principle that seems to be valid almost anywhere but in the gaming industry. You know the principle: CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. On the other hand some sheep will still just quote EULA and passively watch as their rights are being taken from them.

lol What do you work for EA or something?

I love how you take everything EA says as fact, and everything else (including their own EULA) as something 'sheeps' are making up. Seriously, it's right there in their terms & conditions. If you get banned from the forums you cannot access the DLC content and/or activiate the game. It's all right there!

Did you actually read what I wrote?

So he can't play for a few days. I don't care. I'm not a fan of EA, but if you buy their games and post on their forums, they have the right to ban you. Get over it.

Skullcandy
So if you whine and b*tch about your car manufacturer that same manufacturer can go to your house and take your car keys for a couple of days till you learn your lesson. And the fact is that they didn't just ban him from the forums they denied him access to the game and that means single player. Even if you get banned from COD online you can still play the game in single player, or if you get banned from WOW forums you can still play the game, right?
