"Once you go to the quest, the entire map is seamless and will have no loading times."

Very tricky wording, trying to avoid the question. It sounds like there will be loading screens between different areas except for during quests.

@rayo_theking: No one said it would be easy to switch jobs. All I said is that the employees are free to decide whether they want to continue working for CD Projekt Red or not.

If not, then they better be ready to find a new job or start their own company that doesn't have overtime.

@kappamerc: OP's post was about the company making promises that they couldn't keep, so I think the lack of trustability in regards to other promises that the company makes is a fair topic for me to bring up, and we also need to consider the possibility of the company backtracking on their comment about compensating the employees for the extra work.

Also, it wasn't a "goal", it was a promise that the company made to its employees. They said there will NOT be mandatory overtime, but now they say that there will be mandatory overtime.

Hard work does pay off, but that's not relevant to this thread. We may have different opinions on hard work, justification of overtime, earning trust etc., but at the end of the day it is a fact that CD Projekt Red made a promise to its employees that they failed to keep.

@kappamerc: You are correct, doing everything you can to avoid crunch doesn't make you a bad company. But making big promises about not having to work overtime, and then making it mandatory to work overtime does make them an untrustworthy company.

If they can't keep their promises about benefits and work conditions, how could you trust that the company will actually compensate them well for the overtime? For all we know, they could be lying again and announce "we are having financial difficulties and did everything to avoid it, but unfortunately we don't have the money to compensate the employees for the overtime they worked"

Trust is something that is earned, and it seems like this company doesn't understand that.

@XBgyManX: I agree with you that having employees work overtime (if they are compensated for it) is reasonable.

But making promises that the company can't keep does make them untrustworthy. CD Projekt Red promised their employees that they wouldn't need to work overtime. If they can't even keep a significant promise on the employees' work hours, they might not keep their promise about compensating the employees for the extra hours they put in.

@Kefka-: It's mandatory if they want to work for the company, but the employee is free to quit and find a new job or create their own company with 5 day work weeks.

@zander80: It's only mandatory if the employee wants to stay with the company. But no one is forcing them to work for the company, so if they don't like it then they are free to find a new company to work for that won't make them work 6 days per week.

@Vojtass: That doesn't change the fact that CD Projekt Red pretended to be a nice company and made a promise that they can't keep, looking foolish and untrustable as a result.

@bdrtfm: True, but there are far more true Playstation exclusive games. With the Xbox, will there be any games released that you need to have an Xbox Series X for instead of a PC? As far as I know, the games will also be playable on PC.

@boobytrap:Agreed, with the ability to play Xbox games on PC, the Xbox is nothing more than a poor man's option for gaming now. Considering the price and specs it's still a great deal since you can't build a PC with similar specs for $500, but there isn't any selling point that is unique to the Xbox.

Anyone with some extra money to spend should just have a PC and PS5 and you can play all of the games, and there would be no reason to get the new Xbox.
