I vote Umbrella Chronicles, so I must be insane. ;)

One, I only own a Wii, and that's all I want to own right now. Two, I don't like the horror-survival adventure games all that much, so even if RE5 was on the Wii I wouldn't buy it. Three, I love love LOVE on-rail shooters.

Yep, I'm insane, but I'm perfectly OK with it.

I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer.

I always thought being a harcore gamer was knowing the history of gaming and how the industry works. I always thought being a hardcore gamer was enjoying games, regardless of the target audience. For intance, I like to play Halo and I like to play Nintendogs. Why should I limit myself as a gamer to only "hardcore" games?

I've been gaming since I was 4. That was in 1981. I'm 30 now, AND I'm female. Personally I think that makes me more hardcore than 99% of the chumps on here. ;)

Actually, I don't care for the labels. I'm just a gamer. I play games because they are fun. Not once in the TC's original post did that word come up. If you're playing games to stroke your ego, you don't deserve to be called a gamer.

You sir, are more of a true gamer than anyone who claims to be hardcore.

There have been so many killer Wii games anounced lately it's rediculous. People on system wars have about a 2 day memory.

I know, eh? One little press conference and it's the sign of the apocalypse. Wii Fit is just one game in sea of awesomeness that is SMG, MP3, and SMB:B. Plus, it's not even going to be out until next year. I still don't get why everyone is so worried.

Call me crazy, but in the past all the good information didn't come out of the press conferences, but the floor shows.

E3 isn't over yet folks. Let's wait to reserve judgement until the event is really over.

Put down your torches and pitchforks for a second and let's talk...

I've never felt like making a topic before. In fact, if you look at my stats, I don't really post a lot. Yet in the past 24 hours, I've seen such a decay in the morale of the Nintendo fan I feel compelled to say something.

We knew last year that this E3 was going to be different, yet many of you apparently forgot that and were expecting the press conferences to be like last year. E3 is NEVER going to be about the fans again. There is no need for booth babes, verbal dissing, and over-the-top floor shows. We also knew Wii Fit was coming, and we've known for a while, though it was called Wii Health in those days. I know many of you don't consider it a game, but there are definitely game elements, such as leaning to bounce the soccer ball on your head.

What I fail to see is how this signifies that Nintendo is screwing you over. If you're a Nintendo fan, you likely enjoy Mario games. You also probably like Metroid Prime and Smash Brothers. These are three HUGE franchises, and in North America we're getting them all this year. How can you not be stoked about it? Wii Fit is not the end of the world, nor is it the first fitness game. Xbox and PS2 had Yourself Fitness, and life as we know it didn't cease. Plus, there are HUNDREDS of Wii games coming. You're bound to find something you like.

So, really, why are you worried? I've been gaming for 26 years now (and I'm female), and the sky has never been more blue.

First the board is an Eyetoy, now it's a scale... Next you're going to tell me a mouse is a keyboard, Uno is Texas Hold'em, and rubbing alcohol is Johnnie Walker Blue.

All mocking aside, it would be a darn shame if the board didn't get used in other games.

I get MP3, SBB:B, and SMG before Christmas. Why the hell should I care about some dumb press conference that no one will care about six weeks from now?

All I get from people is a lot of high expections and low delivery. Well, get used to it.

We've known for a long time that E3 is not going to be what it once was. It's not about YOU anymore, it's about the gaming press, developers, and anyone with more of a vested interest in the gaming industry than "generic teenage male." I can understand how this year was a letdown compared to last year, but if you were expecting this year's event to be like last year's, then the only thing at fault for your disappointment is yourself.

When it comes to pure press conferences, which is what we've all just seen, all three companies were actually successful at what they were trying to convey. Sony's was perhaps more exciting to gamers, but Microsoft's and Nintendo's were equally important. How many of you have been to many press conferences? Statistics and pep-talks are normal.

Anyway, why don't you whinershold off complaints until E3 is *officially* over, huh? The next few days is where the really interesting stuff happens.

Either I'm an easy-to-please gamer or everyone else is picky, but after seeing this trailer I want the game even more than I did when I first heard about it.

Well, it's evident by this thread that a LOT of people never played this game the first time around. That's a shame, because it seems many of you didn't know what to expect and are now disappointed because it's not living up to your expectations.

NiGHTS is a game you have to play to understand.I can't describe it, and you can't just watch it. From the outside it's boring, but once you play it, it hooks you. It's about going fast and getting the highest score possible in the least amount of time. If that doesn't appeal to you, then I don't know what to say.
