Every release I go through this, and every time come to the same conclusion...
There is nothing out yet like Souls. There is something in the future that looks like it might be, and Project Beast, but nothing that hits enough angles to make it like Souls.
I felt the same way when playing Demons Souls, with the exception that after 3 days, 2 restarts and the first level, I was hooked.
Most of the issues people have is simply not understanding how everything works. And I'll admit, they don't do much to clue you in (even though this game had more of a tutorial then the last 2).
...but that's what I love about Souls. It's a game made "just for me".
@crognalsen To be fair, the mods are free (I think) and if you have the power laying around for it you might as well.
And I also thought people were getting too picky when the whole graphics change thing happened. I mean, the game had to be built around 8 year old hardware first.
I'd LOVE to have a uber looking Souls game next go around, but the past 3 games I've been completely fine with.
@---Cipher--- @quaker04 @mrtux5050 I get annoyed at how smart phones have changed human interaction from time to time, That being said, the school they go to will probably give the kids a laptop in a year so it's kind of like "eh- what can you do".
You can put parental controls on smart phones at the end of the day.
...Now, when a 13 y/o kid whips out a phone that cost more then mine THAT'S when I just shake my head for some reason.
Anyone else get that feeling like they encumbered the movement intentionally (like shield raise time) JUST to mess with Souls vets?
On one hand, I feel kind of cheated as Souls always game you full mobility (or the same mobility) naked from the start if you wanted.
On the other, it IS kind of like playing Demons souls again for the first time.
I am not sure how I feel about it yet. I know you can level movement, and I like that enhancement but I "think" I wish it would improve rolling speed, larger weapon swing or other things on top of the "known" charector mechanics.
But like I mentioned, I'm not sure how I feel about it as I've only played for about 2 hours so far. -Everything else is pretty effin sweet :)
