@jetfreakist I'd buy an X1 if they took the kinect away. Don't want a kinect & won't buy an X1 with it on. Last obstacle to overcome for Microsoft then I can go back to owning all the consoles again. Just an opinion, don't know if it's a common view.
Right, not that anyone from Microsoft is listening, but: Google give me tons of free services and features and in return I let them sell meta data about me to advertisers. Apple charge me through the nose for Hardware, but give me tons of free games and charge a pittance for the very best games. Now Microsoft charge royally for Hardware charge a fortune for AAA games then sell my meta data to advertisers, spend money on steven spielberg rather than a unified memory architecture, charge me to play with my friends over tcp/ip then shove adverts down my throat on my dashboard and invest a fortune in American sports that mean nothing to the British. Now I know I have mixed 360 gripes in there but maybe we should ask Mr Spielberg if his Halo TV series is going to be Gamer first.
Well Bioware are no longer a must buy publisher, I will wait for the reviews and if it is as good as DAO I will be right in there. I will be buying the Dark Souls knock off because From Software are very much in my good books and their software remains on the pre-order list. So even if Lords of Dark Souls sucks they have earnt my money with DS, DkS & DkS II.
I would be tempted to buy an X1 if it was 360 compatible (providing I don't have to plug in the kinect, never kept up with the news on that, can it be unplugged now?).....
@werewillf Dark Souls II addresses this, personally I prefered the DkS 1 approach, but dark souls ii stops the mobs respawning after X number of times killed (maybe 15)....
Just amazing game, last night, I read a comment and as it did not say "trap" I opened the chest, as it dawned on me "beware mimic" was probably a call back to DkS...Doh! Having been munched to within a slither of dying I ran around the corner to get some distance to to drink an estus, right into a red phantom with with a shield evading weapon. lol! utterly mashed :D
Love replaying levels, I will be replaying Dark Souls II for months (I am sure), but at the moment only 30 hours in and not very far through tbh. This is the market Ground Zeros is released into. I am sure it will find its audience, I am obviously not the intended market.
