I don't think that that the PSP is underrated as a console, it has sold over 40 million units worldwide, I just think that most people who have handheld consoles are children, and children would rather play on a funner handheld, hanse why the DS has done tremendously well. And the PSP has more 3rd party games on it than first party games. Even big series like the Jak and Daxter series when they brung Daxter out on the PSP it was done by a 3rd party developer (Ready at Dawn Studios). I actually think that a propper Final Fantasy game should come out for the PSP, and maybe another Grand Theft Auto. But apart from that the games on the PSP aren't too bad. And if the PSP is underrated then why, upon its release, did it get brilliant reviews.

If you put your PSP on charge when it still has battery power it doesn't charge properly, that is a fact. You have to completeley run out the battery.

I have a PSP Slim and for the first 5 or 6 chargs the battery life was rubbish, but now it last for about 6 hours if I have the volume at full with the screen light at full, and 10 hours if I never have the volume on and still with the screen light at full.

The biggest mistake, in my opinion, that Sony have done is putting Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation Network for a download. Immagine how many people would download it, they would make a killing.

This is a no-brainer, get the 3000. It's the newest model. People say that the screen on the 3000 is no different to the screen on the 2000 but it is. The screen on the 3000 supports over 17 milion colours, and it is also glare proof which helps more if you're polaying it outside.

DS has been hugely successful, far more than the PSP, and if you discard the original GameBoy (100 million units sold approx) released in 1989, it's the highest selling games console of any kind ever. Yeah the PSP is far the superior console, but the DS has a massive and great selection of quality first party games, and that's where the PSP is losing out. You should keep your DS, you know that good games are guarenteed to be released on it in the future. Because of the lack of quality first party games on the PSP I opted to sell that over my DS. I'm getting a new PSP though, but I would never sell my DS to get it.

The reason the DS has sold over 70 million units worldwide in 4 years is because of the fact that it has major first party Nintendo games on it. It's that simple. The PSP has been out 3 years and has sold about 40 million units worldwide, so on a yearly average over the past 3 years, the DS has out sold the PSP. But it shouldn't have, the PSP is the far superior console, but it has a lack of great first party games. Now I've never played Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII so I can't comment on whether it's a good game or not, but apart from that the only FF games on the PSP are remakes of FF1 and FF2, but instead of playing a remade FF1 or FF2 on the PSP, I'd rather play a ported version of Final Fantasy VII, but they haven't made it available for download. It's because of the lack of first party games on the PSP that I chose to sell mine instead of my DS, but I've seen the line up of games coming out soon on the PSP and it has opted my to get another one, but Sony still need to sort the games they are releasing on it. I just want a propper Final Fantasy game in the games timeline to be released on the PSP, not any more spin-offs.

It would make sense though to release it on the PSP because more people world wide own a PSP then people own PS3's so in those regardes they should get more sales. But It's similar to Ocarina of Time. I want Nintendo to re-release Ocarina of Time on either the DS or the Wii but they won't so probably FFVII will never be remade or ported. But we can live in hope.
