I'm not a huge fan of these threads as all you get is fanboys b%%%ing at each other. I would however say gears is better, i did enjoy halo for a while but it did get repetative after a while. Gears on the other hand has gotten better since I returned to it and just seems to be a better game overall.

I would agree with all the above except assasins creed, it's a repetative game that isn't worth £40. The story isn't all that great and ends with a horrible cliffhanger, possibly worth a rent but certaining not a purchase.
I have been online many times in the last few days and i have to say it seems to be as stable as ever and i have had absolutely no problems and I haven't heard anyone complaining about any issues
It is possible to play guitar hero co-op on xbox live but only in a player match and even then it is only individual matches and not the career. Hopefully in the near future there will be a patch which allows this.
I think the 360 mostly overheats because most (not all) leave their 360 in an area where it is difficult to get air which inevitably end in overheating and the three rings of death. Apparently a solution is to place either a damp cloth or normal cloth over the console for about ten minutes and it will work again (don't quote me on this though) but it is only a temperary solution.
I don't know which one to get. I know that GHIII is fun but I read that Rock Band will outdo it. Money is not a factor here, its just the "fun" in it. Also a question for Rock Band. If the bundle only comes with 3 instruments, (microphone, guitar, and drumset) how do you get the bass guitar? Thanks for the input guys.E10fonuts
If money isn't a factor why not buy both. GH3 is excellent except for playing the metal on expert(damn song) and my flatmate is getting rock band so i get both but like i said just buy both.
all those GH3 achievements can be glitched, i doubt half the people that have them are legit. i think the hardest ones would be surviving 1,000,000 in geometry wars, and the ones in GH3 and PGR3 where you have to beat one of the creators of the game, or in GRAW reaching 1st rank in the world.ctfvyrsgurbnorn
The GH3 and probably the PGR3 achievements to be beat developers are viral achievements i.e. You just have to be someone who has the achievement. I got the gh3 twice (once for a mate and then myself) without even trying.
I remeber when i first played command and conquer generals. I played for about 8hrs straight and when it came time to sleep i couldn't, for some reason i thought i was a general and all my staff kept bugging me unitl i gave the order to launch a nuke.
What was worse was i had to get up early the next day to go to work. One of my worst nights sleep ever.

Ruby weapon was really really easy (double summon kotr and hades and he'll never hurt you, also link final attack to phoenix), but ozma was a real pain in the a$$
