Great review, as always. GameSpot is my go-to for reviews as their approach had usually led me to the great games, or at least the good ones worth playing. Sleeping Dogs is on sale right now until July 18, 2016 for $4.99 on the PlayStation store and it comes with the three DLC packs too! A "Flash Sale" I'm going to take advantage of!

I'm sorry, but what the hell is Skylanders? I'm starting to think I'm aging out of the industry...

This review prompted me to download this on my PS3 since it was free to + members. It looks like my kind of game and I'm excited to try it out! I wish more of these mashup games came out; I'm getting just a smidge bored by the same dead trodden genres endlessly being pushed out.

Seeing this is only $1.99 until June, 22 2015 I'm going to pick up a copy and see for myself. Yes, the entire package for only $1.99. Usually you get what you pay for, but if this game is really that boring and repetitive then I won't feel like I wasted 15 bucks. Sometimes you really do just need a game wherein you just kick back, relax, and shoot the poo out of everything on screen. It's why I keep Path of Exile close at hand...just jump in, slay hoards of monsters, grab some new loot, and log off after an hour or two. I can't constantly play the Skyrim-esque games 24/7; my brain can't handle that kind of stimulation at all times.

@xavroche if he played on anything more than normal difficulty he probably woul dhave been at the game too long to get the review done in time. 85 hours in a game at easy/normal difficulty means there is a LOT of stuff to do. We want reviews on time, not weeks late because the reviewer is struggling with the difficulty. : ) Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this game...I've been waiting too long to take the plunge as I still have to complete Origins and II since my HDD crashed and I lost my save games. Oh well, I have no problem going through Origins again, though I'm not looking forward to playing II with it's recycled set pieces and "console-y" feeling.

Well, another company to avoid! Thanks Bethesda for being lame. I'm so glad the used market for games still exists. I'll buy a Bethesda game (if the reviews are decent enough) used so they don't get royalties from my purchase. No double dipping out of my wallet...

@Ghosthunter54 Bethesda doesn't own the word "Fallout". I thought Bethesda/Zenimax was getting stupid but this just seals the deal. I guess their lawyers don't have anything better to do. And I used the word "fallout" the other day in conversation, so am I supposed to pay royalties to Bethesda every time I speak or write that word? Another developer I'm going to think twice about before buying their stuff. Petty, petty bullshit going on in video games these days and I'm getting sick of it. This developer should NOT have changed their name and found a different lawyer...

@Kevin-V @sabretooth2066 @foxbat_prime eh don't bother defending yourself here. You did your job and that's it. The halfway illiterate folks on the Internet don't understand what a review is meant for. It's a tool to help consumers make informed choices, not a way of pushing personal ideology. Some people like things and others don't. The sum of the parts (hence a site like Metacritic) gives a general consensus across a wide array of opinions. If you can't handle someone else's opinion, which shows a severe lack of maturity and an inability for free thinking, then find only favorable reviews of the things you're interested in and enjoy wasting your money. Otherwise, if you can't make a well formed counterpoint, keep it moving...

@ArabrockermanX gamers don't care about or enjoy good stories?! Those of us who want solid single player games are absolutely aghast at the lame story telling they've been giving us lately and we are legion. The video game industry is looking FAR too much in the direction of the super-successful but quickly collapsing casual market (of which I include online co-op FPS titles like Call of Duty and that whole bunch) and has been pumping out mediocre cash grabs for one year too many. Why did we all freak the f**ck out when Mass Effect 3 left us hanging and didn't deliver on the promise of the narrative? Why did we all flip when Dragon Age II reused set pieces and basically removed player customization? We don't enjoy well written stories? We don't HAVE well written stories anymore and it's part of the reason that the industry is starting to buckle with the endless stream of MMO's and online FPS's. The developers need to get back to basics and publishers need to allot an appropriate amount of time and resources to get finished products to market, not the half a*sed barely working junk we've been getting recently. Shame...shame on you for thinking there's not a huge group of gamers who are begging for good writing...
