Isn't it possible that this is truly the character that the creators wanted to make, that they truly believe in the importance of diversity (sexual and otherwise) in video games? Have you thought that maybe some of the writers are gay and wanted to write a gay character? I obviously can't know this without knowing the writers themselves, but then again nobody on this board knows any better.

Yes, they did it just to piss you off. And it worked apparently. To all of those asking "Who cares?" Well, you do, apparently, or you wouldn't have been whipped up into such a frenzy over it. If you are really so disgusted at the thought of playing a queer character when it in absolutely no way impacts your playing experience then maybe you need to reevaluate your priorities.

And guess what? This isn't the end of it. We'll be seeing more gay people, trans people, asexual people, etc. in video games to come. And not just in optional comics like this where you could easily ignore it. It'll be right in your face and you'll have to deal with it.

Bunch of white boys whining about the "Anti-White Agenda," like are you kidding me? Game developers add women and people of color to their games and you take it as a personal attack? There is no such thing as an "anti-white agenda." No one is demonizing white people by having black people in a game. If anything the fact that you think that means you should probably reexamine your priorities.

And as always, the solution is simple. Don't like something about a game? Then don't buy it. Complaining about it in news articles will do absolutely nothing. Your wallet is your voice.

@Mr_Ditters When did you stop taking English classes? 6th grade? Because that's the only way I could think that you would consider that the reviewer was trying to write like Shakespeare.

The writing here is nothing spectacular or out of the norm. Is it pretentious because it uses a register different from that of a twelve year-old kid raving about his "favorite game evar?" And is "Look at this friggen rocket launcher" really a good critique of the game?
