Its not hard to get a student license for Windows 7, and those are usually ridiculously cheap. If you have a computer capable of playing games like JC2, there is no reason why you shouldn't be running Vista or 7.

The third party DX10 for XP might work, but you run a significant risk and it will probably result in a buggy game experience.

Great, now maybe they can get around to start releasing all their other sports games on the PC again.

It looks good, I just fear it gets ignored by the masses because it isn't part of a more popular and established series.

The DLC for WaW and L4D is free, and depending on the server you choose, the PC version could either have far more or far less lag than the console version on either of those games.

Yeah, I'm thinking Age of Chivalry might be your best bet for something like this, assuming you have no problem with it being a multi-player only game and assuming you already have the source sdk base from another game.

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]I have been playing CSS since the beta, they made it worse. That camera zoom into people who kill you? It's stupid, I disabled that first. (options, mp , advanced) Reg feels a lot worse I get kicked for playing on dx7, which is all my laptop can handle(When I am on the go) Oh and get rid of the TF2 stuff please, it just feels like a kid's game then. I want the manliness, like a game that defines what a PC game feels like a PC was CSS, and STALKER. Don't ruin it :(

What TF2 stuff are you talking about? Besides the death cam and achievements, and a few things such as domination and a new scoreboard, there really isn't much TF2 stuff here. Are those extremely minor changes enough to ruin a game? As for hit registry, a lot of this is probably troubleshooting, both on the part of Hidden Path and the server owners, as the hit registry in TF2 has never been considered bad, and a lot of people found that the beta servers actually had BETTER hit registry than the pre-updated CSS.

Half Life Deathmatch and CS 1.5 each have around 300 servers on them, not all that popular.

To answer your question directly, its CSS, followed by MW2, CoD4, and CS 1.6.
