@silv3rst0rm: I'm sure it would be a good time, but that's in a city beyond Midgar. part 1 is Midgar-only I think...So we have a long wait for that scene.

@el_swanno: part 1 was announced as Midgar-only... which is not even close to half and far before that spoiler scene takes place... They will probably need to do 3 parts or more.

@sethjustseth:

It's not the TRUE original but it's really close. The reason the project took so long is they kept all of the bug fixes from the current game and stripped it backwards until it looked and felt like the old version.

@truthforever: Charisma counts for a lot. Sadly, it matters less what you do and more how you present yourself and how confident you act. It's the same in any job. Life is a stage.

idk, asking employees to stay after for "a week or so" could mean a few weeks, and that is sort of a "crunch".

@kali-b1rd: Agreed. I mean it's great that some things are sped up, but the reason people loved games like Everquest/Asheron's Call/Star Wars Galaxies, Vanilla WoW, was because none of these had instant gratification. Because travel was a pain, the world felt huge. Every zone was an adventure and you would explore 100% of each zone instead of zipping between questlines and "all done-ing" to the next zone. To take down bosses and raids, you actually had to befriend others and party-up instead of auto-queuing.

Some of the changes are nice, but it really does just feel like a weak-storied Single Player game nowadays where you randomly coop with some people for a dungeon. World feels far less alive then back when you actually had to meet in the taverns and ask people to join up with you.

These are great games for anyone who has ever loved a classic JRPG. Solid story, solid combat.

I've found these to be the perfect games to play with wives / girlfriends even if they're not into gaming. Basically long movies where you have some effect on outcome.

As some have said, that's exactly what happened to Star Citizen. Too big, too ambitious, sorta impossible. But SC did not cancel...Maybe they should have.

its no coincidence that a lot of the favs are the original 151. The designs got worse for the most part going forward imo
