I recently got back in touch with a friend after about 2 years of no contact and it's just so bizarre to see how much had actually changed in that time. I'd say we were probably pretty similar 'types of people', but recent circumstances seem to have changed both our outlooks on life, and I was just interested to hear - what's yours?

For myself, I'm probably a bit of a dreamer. So many people abandon dreams for realistic goals like a steady, if mundane, job and a place to live -- I could never be happy with such a thing. I'm extremely focused on what I want to do, and I would rather die poor and starving having given it a damn good shot at a dream than give in to a 'safe' existence -- I'm only gonna only live once after all.

could it easily run some old games like half-life, diablo II, star craft and fallout? i always missed out on those games and I think now would be the perfect time to play them. i've never really played pc games and i'd love to go back and play some of the really great ones. i'm really not looking to run the latest and greatest games on the market, so if you could make any suggestions about what would run on it, even if thet're fairly old, because it would be appreciated. Thanks.

sorry, i haven't checked out the post since yesterday. here are the specs:

Intel Pentium M Dothan 730 (1.66 Hz, 533 MHz FSB)

512 MB (256MBx2) DDR2 ram at 533 MHz

Nvidia Go 6800 256MB

40 GB hard drive 5400RPM Upgraded to 60GB 7200 7K60

WXGA+ (1440x900) Ultrasharp 17" widescreen LCD (non glossy, non TrueLife)

Intel 2200 802.11 b/g wireless card

DVD-ROM/CD-RWx24

Windows XP Home

6-cell 53 watt/hour battery

...could somebody please give me a rundown on everything I'd need to know, from a techical aspect, before I try to get into gaming on a PC, like memory or graphics cards because I'm completely clueless. I'll soon be getting a laptop that was really good in late '06 or early '07 (obbviously can't afford much and simply want something basic). I'm 16 and its from my 20 year old brother. If anybody could recommend some good games for a system like that and take the time to give me some advice on what the hell I'm doing, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

i can't turn it on. every time i press the power button the screen turns on, then goes to black and then turns off a minute later.

also, whenever i plug it in, the charge indicator lights up orange and then turns off soon after. i've tried solving the problem for like half an hour, but to no avail.

is my system dead?? do i need a new charger or did something accidentally get messed up with my psp?? i don't know... any suggestions would be appreciated.

First off, the game looks fantastic. the graphics look good and it seems like they have optimized the game for psp. i really can't wait for it.

My only slight concern is whether or not the people who only own a psp will miss a lot of the features in the game that make it really, really great, such as being able to use two analog sticks or being infected and getting regenerative health.

any thoughts?

I just played through the level pack. it was pretty fun... though maybe not worth $6.

I hope media molecule keeps making them because they really add a lot of value to the game. and the paintinator was awesome.
