Looking forward to playing Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Was a bit interested in it but never bought it due to knowing absolutely nothing about it. If it's any good I'll buy it.
I would argue that the 97' -98' was the best years and or generation for gaming- both in quality, (quantity for the time), and risk taking. Also 2007-08' and 93'-94.
Of the above I would have liked to have seen- Suikoden 2, Madden 98' (only because making the jump from 4th gen to 3d 5th gen, and Gran Tourismo one -instead of two, as well as Driver (ah just saw it) - also SF alpha was good but not as genre defining as Tekken 3 and also Parasite Eve and Legend of Dragoon (only because of scope and scale) and while not as groundbreaking as the list above - Grandia .
I agree Parasite Eve and The Legend of Dragoon could've and should've made the cut but I think that they tried to make a balanced list that isn't only RPG's, JRPG's to be specific. I think it's pretty well rounded with stellar titles from many different genres.
I'd definitely take another game in the Witcher world. Maybe similar to that Netflix show with a young Vesimir or something from the past when the 6 Witcher School's were formed.
@videogameninja: God of War (PS4) is great but God of War 3 just takes the cake imo. It was way too epic climbing Mount Olympus and killing every God in the process. I enjoyed pretty much every second of that game from start to finish lol
