[QUOTE="usagi704"]BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger [Limited Edition], PS3, new, $59.99pikadeth

You, good sir. Are a winner. Every 360/PS3 owner needs to support that game and it's awesome limited edition. Obscure 2D fighters are almost as fun as inexpensive bull riding games!

From what I have played of it, so far it is extremely impressive provided you have ever had interest in Arc System's Guilty Gear series since it definitely plays similarly. This game is no doubt the replacement for Guilty Gear since Arc System Works has had some legal issues concerning Guilty Gear with Sammy, AFAIK. Also, apparently the limited edition will only be the first print run of the game. A little while from now they will release a normal version. Anyone interested in the limited edition better make haste before it disappears.

This one sneaked up on me.  I heard about BlazBlue a long time ago then promptly forgot it.  Cool acquisition.

I snagged a $15 copy of Super Mario Galaxy tonight from a pawn shop this evening.  It's trade fodder.  I also downloaded Fallout 3: Point Lookout and am playing through it now.  Tough enemies so far.

Yeah, I have been anticipating it's console release for awhile now. Totally worth the wait.

Beat Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (PS2). Besides the framerate dips that occur at times, the game could have been better, and much less frustrating, if the "mini-game" levels were cut or replaced with more great Sly platforming levels. Those mini-game levels were usually frustrating, sometimes easy (the shooting ones), but never fun. It seems as if Sucker Punch didn't have enough confidence in the core Sly platforming levels, so they added needless variety. To me, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is what platformers should be: charming, endearing characters, decent story, great core platforming and related mechanics. All of those things are in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, but the mini-game levels interrupt the greatness with annoying variety that doesn't need to be there: collecting games (against a clock), driving games, and even a rhythm game for most of the boss battle against Ms. Ruby. I don't want any of that crap in my platformers! If I want to play those things, I have other games that do them much better. Don't get me wrong, I really like Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, but I just have to air out my gripes about it. In this genre, less is more, IMO.

Have you played it before?  It's an excellent game.

Nope, but I did pop it in and played through the first major area. Seems pretty good and a little more difficult than I expected.

Bangai-O Spirits I enjoyed it's frenetic action a good deal, but as a whole it felt like a bunch of separate levels that didn't have any connection to each other.

[QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"]

The Hardware geek in me likes the idea of PSP Go...but at the same time the game collector in me is a bit sad. I'm in the market for a new PSP, but I'm more towards a PSP 3000 right now (I have a 1000) since I can get the best of both worlds (umd disks and downloadable games).

Don't forget the 3000 has a larger screen, lower price point, and the av out option so's you can play on your TV when you are at home.

The PSP Go does have the AV out option as well. The only problem is that the port for it is different so the system will have it's own AV cable.
