I encourage any doubter of this game to visit other gaming websites and compare reviews I bet you would have a hard time finding another score this low.
Pay no attention to this review, IGN gave this game a 9/10. I simply only visit this site to see the joke reviews they give here. Zelda Skyward Sword a 7? come on!
The more real games look, the big question then becomes, when do games stop being games? Consumers don't want realistic simulations, they want entertaining games. Even 10 years from now the most realistic looking shooters or action adventures won't be able to touch the same gaming enjoyment level as the games from the 8-bit and 16 bit era.
Nintendo doesn't take risks? Wii, Wii Sports, Wii fit, Wii U, Nintendo Land. All risks. As far as the Mario and Zelda games go. Franchises build on there past, if they were to be dramatically different each time they would be new IPs.
Great gameplay with graphics that compliment the gameplay is the key to a successful game. Examples: Plants Vs Zombies, Angry Birds, Super Mario Galaxy, Borderlands, Bioshock, The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. These are all examples of games with unique, some with simplistic art styles that have managed to out perform even the most realistic looking AAA games.
I believe that Gamespot gives good games and sometimes great games mediocre review scores in an effort to create controversy and get more traffic to their site. We can stop this people by simply not visiting gamespot.
Ok so this is why I try not visit gamespot ever since they gave skyward sword a 7.5. Seriously? how is it that IGN gave this game a 9.3 and gamespot gives it a 6.5. Well back to IGN.
