@Salt_The_Fries:

I think Sony could be on to something if they do a Shenmue HD remake of 1 and 2, and then have a solid ad campaign with Shenmue 3 to introduce it to a new generation. Can you imagine with modern technology what they could do with Shenmue 3. The first two were groundbreaking from a technical standpoint. It is too bad the Dreamcast had such a short lifespan, the first two games were among my all time favorite games.

Wow was not expecting this! Looks like I'm going to be getting a PS4 now along with an XBOX 1 if they manage to pull off Shenmue 3...Easily one of my all time favorite game series!!

I would strongly recommend it. The PvE is fun, and the artwork/scenery is great, especially if you're into Middle Earth at all. Also, for the most part the community is very good about helping new players out.

Nope I didn't forget that they are going over 200 mph, but when considering everyone is going the same speed these quick decisions aren't nearly as quick you're making them seem to be. Meaning that from the perspective of the racers they are only going to be a few mph different while they are making their passes for their "quick" thinking. As for the force on the neck I'm sure that could be hard on an unathletic person, but to a true athlete like a soccer player that would be just plain laughable. Having your ankles, knees, and the rest of your body being slide tackled takes a heck of a lot more toll on the body than sitting in a chair worrying about the force from taking a corner in a car.

A few mph makes a hell of a lot of difference when racing. Lap times are seperated by a few tenths of a second. F1 drivers, even the veteran ones, are always specially training their neck. Do you know how 2-5G feels whilst going around a corner for a professional driver? They drive for 2 hours constantly feeling the G force on their neck.

Like I said in my answer to him on the previous page, he has no idea what he is talking about. He needs to go to one of those racing schools and see how well he does. My guess is he would hit a wall or run off the track really quick.

Yes I am well aware of what that amount of G-force feels like. And also aware that the MPH difference could decide a race, but the amount of quick thinking you are making it out to be isn't nearly as important as it is for soccer. In soccer you have to remember that there is a ball involved which adds a completely different aspect to this. With racing you are in a car the entire time, and for the most part have to only be concerned with your basic, accelerations, braking, turning, and passing. Soccer on the other hand you have to focus on: Running, Cutting, Tackling, Passing, Ball Control, Staying onsides, taking correct angles on defense, timing runs right for getting open on passes, and protecting your body from getting injured when being tackled just to name a few of the instances during a soccer game that require quick thinking. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying racing isn't strenuous; just not nearly the same as soccer.

[QUOTE="dabest2500"] Motorsport has ALL of the qualities that you have just mention and more. Football doesn't require endurance, they have a rest for 15 minutes half way through! Death>>>Injury.

dabest2500

FAIL! Motoractivity has hardly any of those qualities, and not even on remotely the same level as Soccer, or any REAL SPORT for that matter. It's driving, not in the least bit impressive, going by your logic a trucker has much more endurance then a real sports athlete since they drive for hours at a time. I can pretty easily tell that you haven't really played sports before; especially soccer since you obviously have no idea what strenuous activity is, or how much more endurance it takes to be able to run for 90 minutes than it does to sit in a chair for a couple hours!

Did you forget that they drive at over 200 mph? Do you know how much G force is generated on their NECK and how fast they have to think?

[QUOTE="tyler735"]

Soccer is by far the better of the two.

As far as taking part in the sport of soccer, and the activity of motor"sports".

Soccer takes coordination, athleticism, intelligence, quick thinking, endurence, toughness, and heart. Motor"sports" may have a few of these qualities, but not nearly to the same extent. In other words it take MUCH LESS skill to participate in motor"sports".

As for the comments about the injury risk of the two. Sure there are more deaths in motor"sports", but this idea is very flawed. You're comparing many sports to just one sport, not really an accurate way to judge. As for getting hurt in soccer: torn ligaments, broken bones, concussions, getting deep cuts are very common, and almost anyone who has competitively played soccer has been through one of, or multiple of the mentioned injuries that routinely happen in soccer, so the points made about risk in the sport of soccer, and activity of motor"sports" doesn't make sense.

Soccer also does things that all motor"sports" combined can't even come close to doing. In case you didn't read that the first time....all of them combined don't have the worldwide effect like does. For example, whens the last time a war has stopped because of a silly motor"sport"? Do yourself a favor and google "Soccer stops war" and just look at all the instances where it has made even nations at war come together as one, and forget about their differences. A motor"sport" has never had anywhere near that type of worldwide impact.

Pretty sure this next point even the biggest gearhead can't deny, which is the atmosphere of a soccer game. The World Cup is by far the greatest atmosphere of any sporting event in the world. It draws Billions....thats right I said BILLIONS of viewers throughout every tournemant. Has a motor"sport"ing event ever drawn more than a few million people to watch or care?

If you haven't caught on I have put the word sport in motor"sport" like this because I really don't view it as a sport. Should be more along the lines of Motoractivity. I don't consider something a sport if you just sit in a chair the entire time. Sadly the most athletic thing I've seen from someone in these motoractivities is some Nascar dude would do a flip after his race. With this said it does take skill for motoractivities, but so does pool, darts, and poker. People keep mentioning endurance in motoractivities, but for the love of god think about it...if you start to get tired it doesn't really matter since you are sitting in a chair already. Have you ever seen a soccer player get tired and decide that he should sit down for a while on the field of play lol

Basically to sum all of this up Soccer>>>than motoractivities
