Wow gamespot, way to run an article just to fuel the fires of this stupid flame war between these battlefield and modern warfare trolls. Anything to get traffic right? Considering that MW3 is a different game than MW2 and the events are on a much larger scale, I can see why the trailer doesnt have an emotional feel to it. We arent talking about mowing down a bunch of innocents in an airport, we are talking about a global conflict across multiple cities. Can we not see how the tone might be a little different? The hilarious part is how everyone complains that this is just a rehash of MW2, but then complain that the trailer doesnt have the same feel as MW2. What do you people want? The fact that someone admits they are getting emotionally vested in a game trailer should be enough to tell you that there is something wrong with his opinion. Obviously he is too passionate about one to make an accurate assessment of the other. Besides, I didnt feel anything for EITHER trailer because I'm a man and real men dont get all giddy over video game trailers..

To all those who say that MGS2 wasnt good and the worst in the series are so wrong....people think the story is pointless and doesnt make sense and the cutscenes were too long...umm have you played the other two? you cant beat metal gear solid in like 3 hours if you skip the cutscenes and i got so bored with snake eater i didnt even finish it....to me snake eater was just too boring, i dont care about big boss its all about snake. Metal Gear Solid 2 's story was fantastic to me, and as far as the bosses being unrealistic and stuff, once again have you played the other two. someone who can read minds, and all the bosses from MGS3 were just rediculous too so i dont want to hear complaining at all about the realism of MGS2 its one of my favorite games of all time. as far as people not liking raiden i think hes a fine character, hes not supposed to be super badass thats snakes job, hes just supposed to show the progression from old to new generations and to link metal gear 2 and metal gear 4 together....Vamp was the most boring boss fight ever, if you dont suck, you beat him in 3 minutes easy...i thought all the fights in all the games were easy and they dont take much time to finish, but personally my favorites were Solidus, Metal Gear Rex, Metal Gear Ray, Vulcan Raven and Gray Fox....Those characters just had something about them, even if they werent the most challenging fights they were still great because i loved all the characters.

NathanHawkins And what would be a better game exactly? what game give you over a hundred hours of fun that doesnt get tired? some RPGs last that long, but its all grinding to level your character and almost everyone that plays RPGs hates doing so. You could say that WoW is also amazing for the sheer scope of it all, but its just not as fun and crazy...Id say this is probably the best game of all time, i mean, weve all played a million FFs and weve all played the marios and zeldas, but when it comes down to it, no game was as original or fun as this one... and connell66 you cant be serious about metroid prime, that game is so second rate its rediculous...
halo 3 looks like far cry set in the halo universe....i dont think people should worry so much about the graphics however, im worried that were going to be playing more of the same in terms of gameplay.... also did you see the screenshot they released early on that said it was a singleplayer screen? the graphics for this i believe are way down to allow for a large number of players in multiplayer but who knows like i said what i really want is better gameplay, sure halo 2 was near perfect, but after 3 years, theres just not enough to keep me interested anymore...
the models look a little better as well as the outdoor environments, but with games like GoW and Crysis coming out at about the same time as this its a big dissapointment. Theres still time to adjust the graphics, but at this point i dont think theyll change much. The point is is that gamespot and everyone are bias toward halo and microsoft because while the trailer shown for this game looked amazing, and everyone thought it was going to be in game, its not even close...now gamespot isnt making a big deal about this little detail, but i can recall a certain PS3 game (Killzone *caugh*) that they refused to shut up about when they saw the trailer and then saw actual gameplay footage, and how it didnt look nearly as good. I think a story like this is completely stupid, halo 3 isnt going to be as amazing technically as many other next gen games. and i for one dont really care...i loved halo 2, but i dont have a 360 (maybe i will this summer) but all i want is a great ending, and exciting gameplay (i want something more in this new halo than a few new weapons and a bubbleshield bungie! next gen gameplay doesnt mean a beefed up assault rifle using the same combat engine as halo 2) as far as im concerned this game will be more of the same, which is fine for some, but in a blockbuster title like this im sorry i need more than just some slightly sharper graphics and an ATV.....
Wow, i really thought sony couldnt get any worse with how its been treating its customers but wow, just wow....less than 50% backward compatability, but you can bet barbie horse adventure and shrek super party will be on that list!! way to go you idiots, you just lost the only hope you had in getting back your fanbase by screwing us all....i hope you burn sony, no respect + crappy system + crappy games = no profit .... at least we can look for microsoft to say the truth and it sticks, even when it comes to dissapointing things at least they are upfront and real with the people....you know whats coming and when its coming, instead of sony cowering behind the launch and telling people halfway into preorders so all the people finding out about it now are screwed.....like i said, i hope you burn sony, i am a customer of yours no more
