@amaneuvering: well the game was/is basically already well underway. If you were following whats happened here, the dev team was making the game similar to Friday The 13th movies, it was going to be called Summer Camp. The team already had some of the principal talent that help make Jason iconic, and thats when something amazing happened. Those who actually had the rights to Friday the 13th saw what these guys were up to, and instead of suing etc, they actually were so impressed they gave them the rights to use Friday the 13th and Jason in the game..for free. So now the devs need time and money to revamp their game with actual Friday the 13th material, art and content. Thats what this is Kickstarter is about. With raising money from the public they arent hamstrung by a publisher and their usually bad ideas. The team is actually really impressive, I think this may turn out to be pretty special, especially for horror fans.
