Hey there, I'm not exactly a tech-educated person. Recently wanted to get back to playing on my PS3, since I hadn't played on it in ages and I wanted to see if I could catch up with old friends. I plugged it in and it seemingly turned on fine, the green light would turn on normally, do the funky beep noise. HDMI cord was plugged in. But when I went to see if it would register on the tv, it didn't display anything and said no source was found. I tried connecting my brother's PS4 and it worked out fine.

My dearest, darling-est cat did pee on it, and I was only able to discover this after rediscovering the console after god-knows how long, which could be a factor in it being kind of damaged, although I would expect this would make the device not turn on at all.

I am getting a new one for Christmas, so playing on it continuously again isn't exactly what I'm going for. I want to know if I can somehow transfer my data from the old one to the new one so I can get things I had saved such as game progress, even though it may be damaged and wont turn on right. Any help/tips? Thanks.
