I would hope they might reduce the price a little by european launch... to match the exchange rate to dollars at least ! Or perhaps they might be forced to drop the price a bit.. hope so. I wouldn't have bought one one release anyway.. they are far too many decent games coming to the Wii (Zelda, MP3) and the PS2 (Okami, FFXII, Rogue Galaxy)... and the PC :P (HL2 epi2 with portal and TF2) heh theres alot to keep me busy until the PS3 reaches a viable affordable price and Blu-Ray actually takes off (which of course remains to be seen) Blu-ray really doesn't have the same appeal as DVD had with the PS2... i really don't have an overwhelming desire to watch high def movies... not least coz i'll need to purchase an HD tv (fekin expensive) and blu-ray movies will be pricey simply due to the media being so expensive to make at the moment. meh... im sure i will get a ps3 some time down the line... im eager to see what the Ico/SOTC team come up with next.. a new SOTC of sorts would be simply astonishing on the PS3 i can imagine. ..rant over

Its so true, in the quest to create more and more realistic characters they will eventually become quite disturbing when they get to a point so close to resembling human its almost hard to tell the difference, but there is something not quite right. They tried this with robotics in Japan, i think, and attempted to create a 'real' looking face with artificial muscles and everything. On completion it was the most realistic robotic representation of a human face ever, but looked so wrong it was scary. Strange how we can identify so well with a basic smily face and crude cartoons but something approaching complete realism is so disturbing. Watch out! the cylons are evolving! they look human! Some think they are human! :P
