First of all, thank you, Scott, for such an honest and brave review! I really appreciate it even though it means that one of my most favorite galaxies has been destroyed :( .

It's such a shame, I was looking so much forward to a new installment to a fantastic series. I didn't even expect a 9+ score to be honest. But something in the 8ish range should have been possible.
I couldn't watch the video but the following two things bothered me the most in the closed beta:
1) The controls felt awkward, clumsy and wrong. I'm not just speaking about vehicles, even when playing my soldier character I struggled most with those fricking controls, not the actual enemies. Why can't Ubisoft adapt the controls from The Division? People might think about The Division whatever they want (I really enjoy it) but the controls are dead-on.
2) In every mission I did during the closed beta it was more effective to simply rush into an enemy camp guns blazing instead of carefully planning and using a stealth approach. This might work well with shooters like Call of Duty, Destiny or perhaps even The Division but not with Ghost Recon. Here I want to be forced to plan my assault and to carefully take out the enemy one by one.
Most likely I'm not going to buy the game on release which is a shame because I was really looking forward to it. Instead I'll probably wait until I can get it for around 30 €.
@P0iS0Ndart: Republic Commando, the first Jedi Knight and TIE-Fighter are my all time favorite Star Wars games. All three are way better than this version of Battlefront.
I actually was even more disappointed in Battlefront and would only give it a 6 out of 10. The Star Wars feeling is in fact pretty great and authentic when playing it first. But after 9-10 hours, I felt so bored already, even all the Star Wars hype in the universe couldn't save it anymore from becoming mediocre.
Such a shame, but I actually expected this to happen... I just didn't want to listen to my gut.
