Eternal Sonata is an easy, straightforward but fun j-rpg. With that said, you'd probably like Final Fantasy XIII. Lost-to-Apathy

This is a recommendation for a home stay wife. something just funny and quick, excluded anything like killing, shooting, etc... i agree with Lost-to-apathy to FF, because of RPG-like Eternal Sonata.

for funny plat game you try Little Big Planet 1-2, Rachet and Clank or Jaxter...

and don't choose hack and slash. it doesn't help with your kitchen activities really. LOL

1 tip is you try this one, on UTUBE. this is wat i just saw, give it a try following this guy in the vid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgCI8myCnLI&feature=related

i ma thinking this is much better than some others' tip with that sort of auto cleaning, don't mess up with that. just beware in your search

2 tip is that if tip 1 doesn't work then take tip 2. get another ps3 lens. i costs some bucks, but doesn't really matter cuz you said you wanted this ps3 that bad.

i am also a ps3 addict. really sorry for this situation of yours. the guy in vid has a very careful precaution to keep his ps3 safe from dust with a box every single time after playing  but i think of inmitating him with that.

is this about the compatibility between AA batman and ps3 eye? oh my god i am about to consider buying this AA batman game but now i am worried with this thread. can anyone give an idea about this?

But after i ve read all the comments it comes to me The buddy (who said his PS3 would have possible read less blurays until it ended up dead) might be right.

About the comment about humidity that sounds possible to be a reason but fact is whenever i clean up my discs i exhale at those or i spray cleaning liquid onto those and wipe out smudges, and it only becomes more clean. if that has something to do with humidity i guess my discs must trouble as well.

and by the way here it costs about 50$ a ps3 eye. can that be a solution for this? have it operated with a brand new eye and just wait?

the frame rate will always happen at some specific moments. like the transition between two cutscenes, a cutscenes end, when you run into a battle...

If you really have time to play a lot of games I would, but if you only get to play them from time to time I'd just stick with the xbox. Let me explain before I get flamed. My wife bought me a ps3 about 6 months back and now my 360 sits dormant about 99% of the time. I play my ps3 the most, but now I don't play my 360 which makes having the two consoles seem silly. I prefer my ps3, but seeing as I don't have a lot of time for gaming, I think having either/or would suffice. But that's just in my case, and honestly I only get to play games on weekends and most of the time only after our son goes to bed. I do agree with most people on here though, if you do get one you really have a huge list of great exclusives to dive into, and most of them are dirt cheap now. Super_Maribro

100% agreed. choosing a console depends on the amount of time you would spend on it. if you are young enough like a high school boy or a student you can take both. But when you go to work it's a disaster if you both want to entertain and earn living. of course it depends on your career, blabla.

i have ps3 for nearly a year with almost 20 ps3 games but actually ve beaten 5 out of them, of course not full of trophies only story modes. exclusive ones certainly like GOW series, U2... when i looked that pile of disks i got crazy feelings about playing them but fact is i don't have time for all. it's like you see a lot of girls in the street but actually you just drop your jaw off with out a damn action with them. a feeling of impotence.

but the stupid mind still drives me into keeping buying some others worthy. but i bet i could only fulfill my damn collection of games bought for watching and catching up with the trend.

and man, just buy something really worthy a price. like Super_maribro said many gone cheap thesedays.

i also have been through the same frame rate issues of this game. how terrible. i bought this bluray nearly 5 months ago. just because of not wanting to waste a bunch of money and a chance to experience such a story did i decide to start over with it. But damn it this frame rate stutters all the time. and my ps3 keeps making noise reading this disk...
