i'm really interested in this game but both ign and gamespots review have low ratings, i never played a suds 51 game but it sounds like something i would enjoy from everything i hear about their games. does this game really deserve the low ratings, or is it worth picking up?

im interested in the game but never played the original ones, do you have to play any of the first trilogy to enjoy/understand the story in this one?
