Ok I just recently received my repaired 360 after a 3 red light issue on Friday. The console was working perfectly fine and I didn't encounter any problems. I hop on Gears the next day (yesturday) and now I'm getting a bunch of lag:

  1. When I search for games the connection for each room is red.
  2. I get a ton of bullet lag (not the normal Gears of War bullet lag; this is more than a full second on every shot)
  3. I cant accept game invites or chat invites from people I have before in the past.

I've unhooked my router and modem several times and also unplugged my 360 and restarted everything and I'm still getting lag. The computers in my house seem to be working just fine. I have RoadRunner Cable and I'm using a Linksys WRT54GX4 router. My 360 is connected directly to it.

i sure do. Gears was fun when it first came out. Then promptly started to suck. The mass amount of glitches, overpowered host, host quitting if his team is losing. All these things take something away from the game. When i shot someone in the face they should die, host or not. but if i shoot the host he can flinch, roll and take my head off. No point in playing that game anymore when beetr online games have been realeased.

Stumbling over your own words I see. None of the points you've made are any effective at all. Gears of War has remained one of the top Xbox Live titles and was released over a year ago. Many people have abandoned the game because of their lack of skill and boredom of losing constantly. Therefore they jump on Halo unconsciencely killing people in respawn games over, and over, and over which requires no skill. You're obviously too ignorant to appreciate Gears' multiplayer.

Edit: Needed to add the quote so everyone will know who I was directing my post to.

S**t Yeah!

gears owns nothing,i'd rather get melee'd by a halo 3 guy than chainsaw glitched,or host shotty,or the other numeous problems this game has faced.

Do you have anything intelligent to say?

No, your absolutely wrong. It takes more skill to be successful at COD 4 than Halo 3. Actually it takes little if any skill to be good at Halo 3. Here's a question: What is skill in Halo 3? The auto-aim/aim assist is ridiculous. You can have your cross-hairs close to an enemy and it will automatically lock it on them. You can completely miss someone with a rocket launcher and it will hit them. Anyone off the street can pick up the game and eventually get good at it. COD 4 also has aim assist but it's not as drastic as in Halo. theoryc2

Good point. I'm surprised no one has read your post.

Does anyone know if this situation has ever happend to anyone else and they did an alternative method instead of shipping it back, like complaining then receive one instantly... I don't know... I haven't called them yet by the way.

It's a pro and has a HDMI port so it's one of the newer models. I believe a paper inside the box said it was "new" but it said a different term, not refurbished. What do I do? This is bulls**t.

I just got my 360 back after doing the whole repair process after getting 3 red lights. This is actually a new console itself. Anyways, the problem is that it wont read discs. I pop in a game then when the tray closes it makes a subtle noise and on the dashboard it says "Open Tray". Why would they send me a freaking 360 that doesn't work? Help please.
