Gameplay bit looks quite good but some of the textures look like ps3 level so a little disappointing visually but gameplay looks as good as ever.

Getting an 8 means there is something wrong too. would be a first for a Souls game to score that.

Could be standards are higher of course and its the best souls game to date but not enough to warrant a 9.0. new gen and all.
