That's too bad. I am a big fan of their GOG store and the anti-DRM philosophy behind it. I didn't like the Witcher 3, but it was certainly playable and I didn't run into bugs. Anyhow, I hope the developers learn the lessons of this debacle and strive to do better by their customers.
If they get the story and character development right, I can forgive some of the issues I had with D:OS 2 (such as pacing, difficulty spikes, messy journal, over-reliance on altitude during fights, etc.). The game and story need to be epic and consequential like BG2, but with the gritty roots of a D&D session where picking up that first +1 sword or Magic Missile scroll after a 2nd-level fight with a wild pack of kobolds feels satisfying and memorable. To get my interest, BG3 needs to feel like a D&D game--a feeling that is hard to explain to anyone who hasn't played the pen-and-paper game or early computer RPG classics like BG2.
@thechetearly: Seems a lot like The Forced Unleashed, which was a decent game but doesn't need a retread at this time. If someone could just make a Star Wars game (or movie!) with a good story...
@jinzo9988: Indeed. A true classic. One of the best 2 video games I've ever played. I really do wish that Bethesda would release a remastered version of Morrowind so that people wouldn't have to search through 1000000000 mods to update the graphics, gameplay, etc. Anyhow, every RPG gamer should give this game a shot.
I'm looking forward to this movie. I can't really make heads or tails out of the trailer regarding the storyline, but it seems creepy enough. I very much enjoyed "Get Out" for its suspense and strangeness, along with its artfully done social commentary.
I wish that I had been able to get into the Starcraft games, since I like the RTS genre. However, even after they started giving SC2 away for free, I still couldn't get into it. It seemed very outdated with the resource collecting, base sprawl, one-by-one unit production, etc. (Actually, all Blizzard games strike me as retro-throwbacks with limited features, including the Warcraft [rts] and Diablo series).
Anyhow, the first Dawn of War game tops my list of best RTS games.
@Bread_or_Decide: Yep, same here. I have grown bored with the Marvel stuff, but BP looks great to me and seems to have a story line and characters that might even be interesting. Going to see it this weekend.
@sealionact:Yeah, you're right. But I still liked both of those nutty scenes! The death of Han Solo was a bit too sudden for my taste--he should have died while flying the Falcon. So I'm glad that Luke and Leia didn't die at the wrong end of some common missile or laser.
