@IDarkNight How about you learn to do a review? Based on your laughably childish and simplistic interpretation of what a review is, I'm surprised you can even breath and walk at the same time (assuming of course, that you can).
@xsonicchaos @the_bi99man Didn't seem like he gave it a 7 "for the effort" to me. Seemed like he gave it a 7 because it was both fun and funny, but the lack of depth kept an 8 or 9 off the table. I highly doubt that a 7/10 review score would "discourage" any game creator, unless they had horribly warped idea of what constitutes praise.
Besides, Trey Parker actually said, and I quote, "I hope we don't get a fucking 4 on Gamespot". So, I'm sure he'll be happy to see a 7.
@Sevenizz Lol. "Who would know it exists?" Tons of people. It's among the most popular shows on television, and has been for over 15 years. It literally made comedy central, and has since become one of the most widely-recognized and prevalent pieces of pop culture the world has ever seen. You'd have to live under a rock (or maybe just in a third-world country) to not know what it is, and recognize its iconic characters/art style at a glance, even if you're not a fan.
Also, "if you're gonna review a South Park game, it's a bit unfair to be squeamish about it - it's staying true to the franchise and would thrill a fan."
I hope you're not suggesting that KVO was "sqeamish" about this review. Did you even read it? He loved the humor and the fact that it stayed so true to the franchise. Literally his only complaints were about the game's mechanics, which, as he pointed out in the review, has nothing at all to do with the licence. The way this review reads, it seems that if the mechanics were on par with other RPGs, he would have given it a perfect 10.
Hahaha. "Even if it is a carbon copy of AC, and I'm not saying it is (it is)..." Perfect.
Also, yeah, after just seeing like 10 seconds of gameplay, it's brutally obvious that it's an absolutely shameless ripoff. Not just in idea, but actually stolen. The tweet from the AC2 dev is right. That looks like actual stolen animation. Not similar. The same.
@drwhoiscool Of course you'll be able to. This is Valve we're talking about. They do everything open and unrestricted. They're giving out the SteamOS with the source code, even.
