Alot of people who criticised the game seem to be people who either didn't play the game or only played less than 10 hours, it is by no means a great game but there are some merits.
Combat is easily the most fun I've had in any Mass Effect game i'm sure the majority of players who beat the game will tell you this as well, weapons customisation is great as well. Rest of the game is quite mediocre tho, game has some good boss battles, something that was missing in ME3.
The story is quite lackluster the protagonists dad seem like a better character to play as, the premise is good but wasn't executed well, most of the characters in the game are pure shit especially the main character Ryder, the only saving grace is Jaal (your new Garus) and Drack (your new Wrex) and maybe PeeBee.
My biggest gripe is that this game seems like a carbon copy of Dragon Age Inquisition set in Mass Effect universe, I see more similarities between these two games than the ME trilogy and Andromeda, and before you ask I beat both games with an easy 50+ hours for each
@USDevilDog: If there is any way possible for you to do so i'd say play them in order of release date, starting with the original yakuza on PS2, if that can't be done start with yakuza 0 and just stick to the PS4 titles
With Rockstars track record you have to wonder if they announce their games early on purpose to get a little bit of hype then do their signature delays, if you don't believe me look at GTAIII, San Andreas, Vice City, GTAIV, GTAV, Red dead redemption and Bully all got delayed in one shape or form.
@doctorstone89: If you want a good outlook of a new game, check Gameranx's before you buy on youtube, they really give a balanced view of the pros and cons of a game and help you make a decision to pick up a game or not
The gameplay and dialogue does not feel like Mass Effect at all, it just feels like a poor mans space re-skin of Dragon Age Inquisition, with that in mind I did like DAI, Mass Effect Andromeda isn't a bad game, I find it to be fun but nowhere near as good as Mass Effect 1 or 2, the game faces the issue that comes with open world game environments, quantity over quality. Also the Angara looks absolutely rubbish, looks like something gone wrong from a Spore or No Mans Sky automatically generated character.
