Even if you sub to gamepass, you can still purchase all the games available, and will get them at a reduced cost when they are leaving.
I personally love gamepass and the value it brings me personally, i have been a sub since its inception, and i am currently a gamepass Ultimate subscriber so i can game at work on my phone, and PC/console when i am at home, all for £10.99 a month!
To put the cost in context, for a friday afternoon lunch at mcdonalds, it costs around £15, so one less maccies a month and i am literally spending nothing.
@Barighm: Not even Activision, it is mainly Blizzard games i am focused on, Activision bought blizzard for close to $20 billion dollars in 2008.
COD is nowhere near the powerhouse it once was in the modern warfare 2 days.
Warcraft has made $10bn in revenue by 2017, i think the main pull for Microsoft was WOW, and the PC gaming space, as opposed to the console space, there is only mainly COD and overwatch on consoles, the rest of the IP's are mainly PC.
I just want them to announce Starcraft or even WOW for us console gamers!!
I kind of expected this from Xbox, the years of taunts like "xbox has no games/exclusives" has just irritated the gamer inside Phil, and he has just said to Matt Booty "hold my drink", and whipped the chequebook out the back pocket.
I'm looking forward to seeing what games will be on gamepass.
In regards to PS5, i fully expect COD to stay multi, maybe even Diablo, but other games may come across to Xbox, like WOW, Starcraft.
The purchase would not be classed as a monopoly, as activision is not a majority of the market so i see no issues with this going through.
