Those people who are making fun of console users, please stop now! Most of the console gamers have PC too okay? Some of them even have better PC gaming hardware than you do but still want a console because they want specific games such as Metal Gear Solid 4. Man. You guys are pathetic!

I think all the comments are silly regarding to separate PC and consoles. Consoles are just a PC that is specialized in gaming. Man, you have to compare hardware piece by piece. PC with the latest hardware of coz can play the games in the best quality period! While consoles are optimized to the current best and users don't need to keep upgrading. Stop bashing other people guys! Man. I'm sick of all the comments and war. PC is good when u have good hardware. So do consoles. It's the same thing nowadays. You can configure the PC almost the same specs as xbox 360 or PS3 except the CPU and tell me what you get. MindlessTeef I have both XBOX 360 and PS3 GTA4. They all look similar to me. PS3 is not a lot better than XBOX 360 in terms of graphics. Blu Ray just holds more data. You can achieve the exact same thing with couple DVDs and do a HDD installation. Since you are a PC gamer, you might not know this, but PS3 games mostly need to install on the HDD while XBOX 360 is still optional. You have to spare 3359MB space of your PS3 while XBOX 360 you can choose NOT to install a single file. Blu Ray or not is not important if you utilize the harddisk well.

Shut up NRT25. PC is used as a reference. Xbox360 and PS3 are all computers. Not much different than a regular PC. It's just the hardware that has been used. Man stop all these ignorant comments.

Omislash1234. it's not brightness issue. I duno why gamespot has images like that. It's all about resolution. The PC version can go true 1920x1080, while xbox 360 and PS3 aren't. You are right, why bother the trouble if console can do a decent job already? And you can sit on a couch with a HDTV and play through the whole GT4 experience. Don't need to tell me how to hook up a PC using HDMI cable to a HDTV. I have done all these. But we still love consoles games.

Good for you richarri. You represent the true gamer own both consoles and a decent PC. You are absolutely right about the mouse and keyboard part. But I think all consoles can support mouse and keyboard for FPS, just that the dev want fairness so they limit the keyboard mouse support so everybody use the same device accuracy.

Kyle004, In terms of Devil May Cry 4. I recommend playing with XBOX 360 or Windows. The reason is due to PS3 version can only output to 720P and XBOX 360 has 1080P texture resolution. I have compared all three versions. PC and Xbox360 are almost identical because the game was developed based on Windows platform, the PS3 version sure has lower texture resolution. But if you love devil may cry 4 and own all three systems with a decent PC. I still recommend XBOX 360 version due to the Achievement and higher texture resolution.

Gamespot post PC game graphics as a reference. I'm also interested to see all three systems in their optimal performance. PC graphics is the best quality, so we can see how close the consoles are compare to the ideal. If you do scientific experiment, you always want to know the actual VS. the ideal. Gamespot did the right way.

Ok let me tell you the facts: PS3 better graphics because of Blu-Ray? No, sorry Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are actually using the SAME video codecs. H.264. They can all achieve the same video quality. It's the physical media that put Blu-Ray in an advantage. Blu-Ray single sided double layer can achieve 50 GB compare to HD-DVD only 15 GB. But remember, this is just the size of the physical media, it has nothing to do with the data that is being stored. Both XBOX 360 and PS3 can achieve and decode H.264 video in 1080P. So having blu-ray is not really a high advantage beside a larger storage media. These can all be achieved by installing a larger harddisk or stream HD videos over the Internet.

LobbyPolice, one fact that I want you to know is a lot of PC gamers like myself actually switch from PC to gaming consoles. Interesting is you are the opposite. We are all knowledgeable in technical aspect. It is actually the game titles and convenience that lead me to stop upgrading my PC and fully migrate my games to consoles nowadays. So all fanboys, PC, PS3, XBOX360, or Wii, please stop the war against each other. As long as you enjoy the game, it's all personal preference. You don't need to educate others of the benefits of your preference by looking down on others. Just enjoy the game in your own way. My preference to consoles rather than PC games are for the varieties in genre, exclusives and convenience. I play consoles and PC games whichever have the exclusives. So you don't need to educate me about the benefits of PC, I know it, but I still choose to play games on consoles by default. PC is good for the following genre: Real Time Strategy, MMORPG, FPS, or other mouse and keyboard games. I love playing Battlefield 2142, Half Life on my PC! Consoles games are similar to PC but more for action games or innovative controls. Rockband, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, etc. Remember in reality, nowadays, most game devs are developing for consoles so different varieties such as computer vision games that utilizes Playstation Eye, and xbox live camera and also famous to general public. I know all these can be achieved by a PC, but it's not as popular to the general public. Honestly, PC and consoles are almost the same, they are all computers just running different OS and with slightly different hardware configuration.

LobbyPolice, I don't agree with you about texture resolution is generally higher for PS3 comparing to XBOX 360. I have tried so many multiplatform games. Let me tell you, developers are making higher texture resolution for xbox 360 than PS3 in general. I really don't know if you have xbox 360 or PS3 to do the actual comparison. But Gamespot for some reason duno why all consoles images are darker than PC. Weird. I always love to use Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia to compare. Because I guess I love those games espeically the art design and they are using the same engine. AC and PoP look a lot better in XBOX 360 than PS3 due to higher pixel resolution. GTA4, let me tell you, framerate PS3 is higher, but color contrasts loos better in XBOX 360. Anyway, I don't like to compare to PC because it is always the best. I'm sure next two years, I'll upgrade my PC so I can jump back to PC gaming for the best experience. However, PC gaming still cannot substitute my console experience due the game titles.
