Do these guys expect to sell at least ONE game? If this can't run on a new console then what, do they expect me to go to NASA and borrow a super comp?? ""Hey dude, f*** super massive black holes just let me play crysis on your comp""ElTioGamboin

The tech is hard now, but a few years later probally most PCs could run it really well as computer specs get better.  So you need a great rig to max it now and a little down the road it'll still look good on better PCs.  Kinda increases sales over time.

From reading over on the HD forums, there are supposed to be different endings.  The one I got seemed to fit the game best, but it wasnt exacly happy.

Great game though, most of the negative reviews seem to come from people who hate to read more than a few text lines.

Hell, look at Xenogears.  That had it's share of cliches but it broke through them or circumvented them pretty well.

And it was one of the first that I can think of where you end up more or less fighting god.

Splinter Cell or MGS?

Splinter Cell; Ubisoft does an amazing job for Microsoft in the last-gen, putting out amazing XBox game and have crappy PS2 port

MGS; exclusitivity on PS2/PS3 ( well didnt it appeared on xbox too? )

My vote goes for MGS.  It's gameplay isn't as bad as people seem to think it is, and the cinematics are just that.  SC never really did it for me, can't put my finger on what it was though.

Oh, and MGS was also on Gamecube.  Twin snakes.  Which was a pretty good remake of MGS.

[QUOTE="spikegriffin"]

Gundam Side story remains one of my favorite games ever. I can't belive no one has been able to make a higher quality giant mech (Gundam anyway) since.

Props to Steel battalion though.

Hmmm, MS Gundam: Fighter's Locus?

Hmph. First I've heard of that, seems interesting (from what I could find anyway, scant bit at that).

I really liked the in the cockpit-motion-with-moving kinda thing.  And you wern't amazing, it was easy to die, and sometimes you had to rely on your teammates or fight from further away.  It could have been better, but all the core elements and executions were very good.

But that goes along with my liking of 08th MS team more than some of the other series.

I've found myself enjoying the Homeworld games.

Front Mission too...giant robot tactical RPG?  All it needs is zombies...

[QUOTE="yoshi_64"]So true... I mean who could have thought those were the pinnacle of achievement on the Wii.. in the likelyhood that such games were, it'd be because of the no existance of many other great looking titles like SSBB, SMG, MP3, Disaster Day of Crisis, and so on and so forth... :|flamingschmoes2
Disaster Day of Crysis, oh you mean the CG trailer? MP3, SMG, and SSBB may look great for Gamecube generation, but I have high quality standards, I own a Xbox 360 after all. And none of those games show anything impressive to me. You post SMG, I post Kameo to own it. You post Metroid Corruption, I post Gears of War to own it. You post SSBM, I post Dead Or Alive 4 to own it.

Its funny how only one of those games is as fun and as high quality as the nintendo games.

I rather liked the smaller puzzles of finding pieces and then porting them to other locations.  They wern't hard, but a few had you kind of thinking about what they'd be for, or going back through what you've seen.

It wasn't as good as OOT or even WW, but it had a lot of good things going for it.  Personally, I really liked Midna too.  Shes one of the greatest additions to the series in a while.

And if an 8.8 is the low point of Nintendo first party titles, then they're doing something right.

It depends on your definition of 'current gen'. (I'll skip the argument we've had there).

Yes, the Wii can't run HD games on my POS TV, or anyone else's in fact.  Not even on a nice big HD TV (though it can run in enhanced definition).

But it's an inprovment over the last gen, (if you don't see it now, that's fine, it IS getting better, and will continue to do so) in graphics and control (I like the Wiimote better for 90% of the games I play, the other 10% is on PC).

So the other systems have better graphics.  Meh, I'd be missing out on my aforementioned POS TV anyway.  All in all, I'm happy to have a cheap gaming system that improves over last gen in nearly all catagories.

If I really wanted killer graphics/gameplay then I'd just play on my PC, rather than have some console that tries to be as good as a PC but gets left in the dust in a few years.
