I'll throw in based on my experiences with the PSP go vs. any other model.

Until (or maybe unless) there is a price drop, there isn't much point in getting a Go at the moment, based mainly on it's lack of support from developers like Square-Enix,not being able to download or rip games you already own on UMD, and having to pay full price for electronic copies of games.

Don't get me wrong, I love my go, and it works great for the situation that I bought it for: being on deployment for 6 months, I can stock up on games and have a small, quick-pausing, PSP with me. The other big plus for me is having the digital comic reader (which seemed tacked on based on initial support). I don't think I've ever really bought comics before, but now I find that the Go is a good format to read them in. And with them giving at least a handful out for free, it gets you into series and genres that you might not normally read.

There's also the laziness factor. I hate trying to track down some obscure RPG for the PSP, and for whatever reason, the current PSN lineup is pretty robust, saving me the hassle.

In essence, the Go after a price drop would make a better addition to people who already have another PSP. My opinion would change on that if either or both of the situations I set out above changed or they started doing discounts on games similar to the way steam does.

I want to see another Republic Commando game.

Which is not what was asked...but force unleashed looks pretty good so far.

I'm about half way through now and I really like the changes.

The units seem to be a lot more balanced then they used to be, and for me it makes mixed unit tactics more viable rather than just pull out stronger units with half assed support.

And I really didn't like the reliance on CO's and their upgrades and powers. Especially in the single player, being forced to use the same units with different modifiers, prices, etc. was somewhat cumbersome.

You could also cut your legs off and run a race only on your bloody stumps.

But that dosn't make you a better racer...just an idiot.

So lets review: an inferior control method dosn't make you any more skilled. It's all about reaction time and fast twitch.

Well, I have a huge bias in taste, but I'd say PC.

Online for both is pretty active on PC and I almost never see much lag or hitches.

Plus, you should be able tweak/crank the settings on COD4 some, which make it look pretty good.

And KB+M for both is MUCH better than gamepad in my opinion. Analog sticks just don't do FPS justice.

Frankly, I own a nice gaming PC and a Wii and I see myself as a real (cost effective) winner of the next few years.

Let me put it in perspective, I don't want a PS3, it costs too much for what little it offers, and I really don't want to pick a side in a format war (already did this with vista, and I regret it just about everyday). There are some good franchises that I want like MGS, FF, ect, but not badly enough to get it.

360 is closer to a good system for me, but a PC pretty much invalidates it. ANY good 360 game is going to make it's way to PC at some point, it's only a matter of patience. Plus PC is my preferred format for gaming anyway.

Granted, I have a few considerations others don't; lack of space, lots of moving, no perminant TV setup, but with just a PC/wii I have everything I could want from this gen of gaming. So, does Wii fail? No.

Hold on a second, what you said may apply to graphics on the wii, but otherwise dosn't hold water. Yes, a game with "bad" graphics on 360/PS3 MIGHT be decent on the wii, but that really can't be said for a game overall.

Bad gameplay (or lukewarm) can't be saved regardless of graphics. So a game with bad gameplay on 360/PS3 = bad gameplay on wii as well.

I'd even go so far as to argue that taking what would be a 6.8-7.4 ish game and giving it nice HD graphics makes it worse and shovelware. For example a game like that on the Wii would be passable, but giving it better graphics just makes it worse in comparison to other games with the same level of graphics but better gameplay.

Think of it like seeing something really bright on the ground in the distence and you think it's gold; but when you get close you see that it's only a nickel. You just get your expectations up and then get let down.

Perhaps the best way to define some of these terms is to look at other hobbies people have in which their immersion is well defined. Cars for example.

A Casual car person likes cool cars, they might buy a nice, well recommended sports car that you see all over the place. Might read a car magazine from time to time as well. Our person, the casual gamer therefore would be someone who has a normal system setup (let's say no fancy TV or surround sound or anything), reads things about games sometimes and has whats big to play right now.

Next up is your car enthusiast. This would be someone who modifies their car, stereo, exhaust, rims, whatever. They've put some time and money into it. Here you start to see people with cars a little aways from the center of the popularity bell-curve. They talk cars with their friends, who are for the most part, also car enthusiasts. The gamer enthusiast? Has some nice additions to their setup, if they're a PC person, have done some overclocking or maybe custom ordered their rig. This person plays games that most causals no little about, or have heard of. I'd say most gamers are here.

Last is your hardcore fan. These guys put some serious time and money into their hobby. Some even make it their career. While a casual reads an article about tricked out cars, these guys are writing those articles. So, your hardcore gamer is going to be playing in tournaments, has a supernice setup or decked out PC, or at the very least again, spends tons of time and money on games. To top it all off, they know any game any of us could think of, probably played it on the hardest difficulty in their sleep too.

Conclusion? None of us are really hardcore gamers (aside from the who might really be, I just don't see them trolling these forums for well...any reason), but we might have hardcore tendencies or streaks.

As much as I liked CoD4, the single player literally kills it for me. There are times where I've little to no internet connection so a game that short dosn't hold up real well. Crysis has a longer experience overall, and since it has fewer scripted events it gets a bit more replayability. So, I'd take Crysis over CoD4.
