@doublem-k: I would argue that Batman Arkham Knight is the best of the 3 game Series. the story is good, the worldor in this case city is big, lots of stuff to do, and if you don't feel like it, you can just find random gangs to beat up or goof off driving the batmobile. Its quite amazing at the amount of detail that went into that game.

@RossRichard: where digital fails at least on Xbox, is if your account gets banned for some unknown reason. You can literally lose everything you have purchased. I know a guy it happened to.

@WESTBLADE: I would definitely agree that 4 is the best of the ones I have played. Its my understanding that5 was horrible. I have 6 and like it, but its not as good as 4. Haven't bothered with 7 because 6 is "good enough". Is 7 worst than 5?

@Thanatos2k: There are plenty of games you can compare to Halo, But God of War is not one for the simple fact it is a single player game. If you want a fair comparison then there is the Kill Zone series if you want a PS game, or just compare it COD, or Battlefield. I can't speak about Kill Zone since it has not had out a game in 6 years, But COD and BF have their fair share of MTs. Halo's future will not be determined by MTs, it will be determined by its campaign in H6 and its MP experience overall.

H5 had MTs but that did not hurt the game. what hurt the game was the story of the campaign and misleading promotion of it, which only had Masterchief in 3 of the 9 missions, along with removing splitscreen, which is a must for Halo fans. Then there was the lack of content at launch and the drip feed of content that took forever. Add on top that allowing full parties of 12 to play against randoms in 12v12, which lead to utter slaughters, this alone ran away all the casuals within about 8 months after launch. MTs won't kill Halo.

Yea, they could make it pay to win, but I highly doubt it, that would definitely kill the game. A poor story and horrible MP design decisions will.

@bouchart: The appeal of Halo was/is two fold. Halo:CE(the first one) set the standard for shooters on console. It was the first shooter on console to utilize both joysticks(left one for movement, right one for aiming). AGAIN, it was a first on consoles. The music in the first and second game was amazing and still is if you listen to it on a decent system. Also at the time it had incredibly graphic violence for a console game. When you shot and enemy blood went everywhere. You could come back 5 minutes later shoot the same dead body and blood would spatter everywhere vs bodies just disappearing after dying that other games did and a lot of them still do that. Quake clones as you refer to my knowledge had not come to console at that time. and lastly, The Halo universe is now huge. Multiple books/comics etc. There is now tons of lore, there are not many shooter games that can say that. Even now, the possibilities are limitless for future games, if they(343) don't screw up H6.

@zaprct: I'm sorry but you missed my point. Anybody, literally anybody with a half of a brain can find multiple ways to kill multiple people quite easily if they are so inclined. There motivations are quite irrelevant. The Japanese guy killed 30 people with FIRE for the sole reason he thought the studio was stealing his work. It was an act of revenge not terrorism. I will say, I would bet a year's salary that the kid in El Paso was on SSRI drugs and if so, should have been in a mental hospital.

@zaprct: would you prefer they use trucks to kill people like they did in Europe a year or so ago? What about fire? Would fire be a preferred choice like what was done in Japan just a month or two ago?

If a person or people want to kill people they will find s very effective way of doing so, guns or no guns.
