@cboye18: if by god of war 4 you mean god of war ascension. then no... why would it explain that when it s a prequel to all the other games? Now if you mean the last God of War game on PS4/5 that Ragnarok is a sequel to then no they dont, Kratos just went from being in Greek Mythology to Norse Mythology with zero explanation of how or why. They just changed the settings and act as if the other games never happened they dont even reference them at all.

There is a whole sequence involving Zeus in the underworld, a key aspect of the story is Kratos not telling Atreus that he murdered gods and his whole Greek history, Mimir instantly recognizes Kratos and much of his dialogue discusses Greece, and locked in the treasury are several artifacts from other parts of the world including Greece where Kratos drinks alcohol from Greece and shares it with Atreus. And then of course, when he realizes he needs to revert to his old ways, he grabs his Blades of Chaos which was hidden in his cabin.

You couldn't be more wrong. The reason this isn't in the reviews is because these are all spoilers.

Zelda II is a much better game than it gets credit for. Sure it can be more than cryptic at times, but I very much enjoyed it. The combat is very involved with high and low attacks, magic and shielding. Sure the overworld isn't great but think about what it brought (downward thrust, magic, upgrades, towns).

Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina. It's the natural evolution of the game. The retrospective criticism of it always puzzles me.

BOTW being #1 is debatable. On one hand, it's amazing. But on the other, without any traditional dungeons and more creative dungeon bosses, it loses a little bit of what makes Zelda, well... Zelda.

For me, it's between BOTW and TP for top spot.

I really enjoyed him on Kim's Convenience and he's a solid actor. But since he left that show, he's been burying everyone and everything from that show, and now - unsurprisingly - is doing it against Disney. The "experiment" was the release window, not an Asian-themed movie. This guy better get his head straight before he finds himself in the unemployment line.

Honest take:

Pros

1. Motion controls (for me) worked very well and I enjoyed it.

2. The dungeons are all excellent.

3. Characters and story are memorable.

4. The revisits to areas are all varied, and the environmental puzzles are all excellent.

Cons

1. One repeat boss fight that only slightly changes.

2. The world is not seamlessly connected.

3. If you don't like motion controls you're likely going to not like the gameplay.

4. Overall linear.

It feels like Zelda and I enjoyed it. I will play the Switch Version. In my view, it's as divisive Majora's Mask and Adventure of Link. But I think it's a great game.

For all the newbies, it is nothing like Breath of the Wild.

@olddadgamer: Oh the guy is way too old. He was considered too old in 2005, where he was 47.

I'm not into Hollywood having to supplant existing characters and roles for some ethic quota. With that said, Idris Elba is phenomenal and I've been on that bandwagon for years. Tall, good looking, excellent actor, and has charisma.

Of the others being considered, Tom Hardy is too short, Hiddleston too skinny (though he could hit the gym I assume).

I always thought Adrian Paul (Highlander) could be Bond. He looks like Connery for goodness sakes!

@zmanbarzel: Age in Hollywood has drastically changed. Idris Elba could probably do 2-3 Bond movies by 55. We know way more about exercise and nutrition than the 60s and 70s.

@Judeuduarte: It could have done more appropriately instead of an online campaign. If he encountered what he said he did, that is unfortunate.

But Ray has gone so far beyond that. It's going to create a situation where no one will want to work with him. The old saying, don't "beat a dead a horse with a stick." He made the point months ago and now he's trying to become sort of advocate. Whereas if he had just expressed his piece and let it go, he'd have movies lined up for years on end.

I understand the concern, and on that, he's not wrong.

But parents need to be parents. There are a ton of parental controls, ESRB ratings, warnings of in-game/in-app purchases, etc.

Me, personally, I prefer games to be whole with optional DLC if I want it, or optional DLC such as adding to the campaign, new mode, etc.
