@games2525:

Totally agree. I don't have to have AAA titles every month but something "playable" would be nice...and by "playable" I'm referring to the classic game style...not "art instead of game" (abuzu) or an "interactive comic book" (any taletell game).

Call me old school or whatever but I just can't define these as "games" and I don't see how this new generation of gamers do either. PS+ games back when we only had PS3 was so much better. I feel that now charging for a subscription has become more of a norm (and required for most online gaming on PS4) that Sony feels they can slack off and not pay for us to get better games every month.

So I played the tutorial and 2 matches as the robot vampire dude and...idk...it wasn't great but I didn't think it was garbage either. Especially for a free game. We've definitely had many "free games" that were worse than this.

So I've never played beta and my research on this game has been minimal so there could be something I've missed

...but I'm concerned with the longevity of this game. Is there going to be a reason for me and my friends to keep playing this game after beating the main story (similar to division/destiny) or is it pretty much over after that (similar to farcry)?

My honest opinion of this game...it was very pricey for a game in early access stage, also there is a fairly big learning curve and starting out with nothing while others around you have full upgrades can sometimes be tough. I wanted to quit within the first hour or so but I paid so much money for it I forced myself to continue and figure things out. I can say that after your get over that initial learning curve though, the game does get much better...especially if you play on a server with friends. It should be understood that there are bugs in "early access" but THERE ARE A LOT OF GRAPHICAL BUGS.

The game's not bad, though, and I do enjoy playing it...now. I basically went from not wanting to play it to being hooked. I'm probably progressing through it at a slower pace than most as I enjoy taking my time and trying out one "stage" a lot before moving on to the next one. I've started and restarted on a few servers until I found one that suited me and my friends and now we are building metal weapons and upgrading a lot of our stuff to stone and we still have only tamed a few dino's just to get a little practice...we are preparing to tame some of the bigger stuff soon and we're looking forward to it.

So Luke is "the last jedi" and he dies in this movie before Rey is fully trained. All seems lost until the ghost of Yoda (or possibly Qui-Gon) returns to finish Rey's training.

You heard it first right here! ;)

Say what you want, it's not a horrible game. IW is actually somewhat enjoyable but it's not an addictive blowout that their games used to be. That being said:

People are sick of being "nickle-and-dimed" by activision. I'm not talking about the base game and/or the special edition. After all it is "arguably Call of Duty's best-ever special edition incentive" as the article says. I'm talking about their money-grabbing day-to-day stuff on all of their games. Cutting content (destiny) and making more than cosmetic offers on random packages that can be bought for real money (BO3 and now IW to some extent). What ever happened to the CoD games that would GIVE us new guns when we bought DLC packs and not make us roll the dice and hope to get them? People put up with this when the game is still good but they remember it and won't support it next time unless the next installment is just as good. But give us great value for our money at the expense of NOT squeezing a few extra bucks out of us now, and we will be loyal life-long fans.

I've been a CoD fan since, literally, the beginning. It is the franchise that pulled me away from Medal of Honor back in the PS2 days. I've been patient, but if this keeps up...I WILL be on my way out. You may have to search a little now days...but there are game producers out there that are not afraid to give us real value for the money spent on their games.

I think I'll hold out on this one until it's $20-$30...my gaming backlog is just too large right now...but the first one didn't suck and this one seems mildly interesting

I just read the last part but it seems like a fair review...although I don't totally agree with one of the negative comments...I've only completed the first 2 islands but so far I think the story is mildly interesting....still 8/10 is very fair for the game
