There is rumored to be a fw update that allows for umd caching to work with mem sticks in the unit. It would allow you to set an amount of memory aside to be used. So if you got a 1gb or 2gb mem stick you could set 32-128mb of cache on it for use by the system. Kind of like in the pc world with agp texture cache. It would be nice if that fw was also able to use mem stick for streaming cache from the web browser. No more out of memory errors if this is true.

I want to see a fw update that lets you specify a portion of your memory stick as game and/or browser cache. I'd set mine to 128mb to improve games and web surfing.

I just don't get all the hype of "Home". I want to play games. Home is being touted as a "great first step". To what? I stay away from myspace and second life for the exact reason sony thinks it needs home. Virtual interaction with real people should be handled on the battlefield. Not a virtual singles club.

Perhaps there is no ps3 because the games for the ps3 in 07 arent that impressive? The choices of mgs4, crysis, ut2k7 are too obvious which is why they chose somewhat obscure titles. Halo 3 is an obvious one but you have to think that maybe, just maybe they arent really impressed with the ps3. Much like the rest of the world (seeing as ps3's are far more available than the wii), and the 360 is really hitting its stride like the ps2 did a year after it was launched. 360 is the new ps2 for this generation.
