no it isn't as the game image is being streamed to the PS3,the ps3 is doing nothing but only allowing you to view and control the PS4 game which is being remotely rendered.
True. I think if it was a demo of interactive features and game mechanics eg. look how many objects on the screen and look how much you can zoom in whilst maintaining detail etc instead of a game demo it would work well.
The PS3 can't do Cross game chat due to lack of RAM whilst playing a PS3 game but it can certainly stream a PS4 game via Gaikai. Instead of a trailer people could explore a PS4 demo and interact with it, helping them compare to their existing PS3 and why it warrants an upgrade (or not)
Has anyone thought what if instead of the PS4 streaming PS3 games they made the PS3 stream PS4 games!!.. That way people could get a taste of PS4 without investing in a PS4. Sure you would get a bit of lag and the quality would be top notch but then if you liked it enough you could invest in a proper PS4. I think this is a great idea and would encourage a lot more users to invest in a PS4.
