Hey Cage, here's the shocker: a "Game", no matter the genre, puts You in control, it's something you "play" and freely determine where to go and what to do from 80%(ie Kojima long cut scenes, still leave plenty to play after them), up to 100% of the time. An interactive movie is a something you mainly just watch "but", it features certain (or many) parts where something either important or totally irrelevant, can be decided interactively by the viewer. A movie is something you just watch and have no control whatsoever.

Now see where your product fits in...

P.S

This doesn't mean people cannot enjoy BTS, mind you,

err...isn't this game coming out on Wii U as well (probably without the screen tearing problems that will likely affect PS3 and X360 versions)?

Why isn't it mentioned here?

It's funny how power was important at the time of the first X-box (who recalls the "better on Xbox" campaign they made for third party titles?) and now they suddenly "go Nintendo" :D

With that said, what he said is right, games do matter more, we'll see what happens when the line ups will be fleshed out and not just a bunch of games released simultaneously for every system and the kitchen sink (aside for a handful).

@fredyellowone "I have A 1300 $ USD PC. And yes, I prefer to play with my PS3. On my PC I have games like Civilization, Starcraft, Diablo, Simcity, Europa Universalis, etc. I like that kind of games on a PC. As for FPS, RPG's, Multiplats, I prefer the PS3."

I'm sorry man, but it's very hard to believe that to a game game running at native resolution with Antialiasing , 16xAnisotropic filtering, textures twice or 3 times more defined, more special effects, running at 60FPS with V-Sync locked in all the time, you prefer to play a chopped down version. You CAN use console's game pads in front of a TV (try steam with the full screen interface) it's just that the game on PC is leap and bounds better (I played both Arkaham City and BioShock infinite on my couch with an X360 pad, but no comparison whatsoever with consoles, which I of course own).

You should try and see the difference...

@Nintendo_Man Of course you can make a 4K game on PS4, heck you can on X360 too if you deteriorate the experience enough (less NPCs, Lower polycount, lower res textures, less or no special effects etc. etc. etcv.).

Anyway, Sony stated Clearly PS4 (which is touted as the most powerful of the two) won't support 4K for games (only video) so go figure Xbox one.

It's not mainstream yet? Check! It's too expensive? Check! It's VERY cool if you happen to be lucky enough to experience it first hand (as opposed to just reading an article on GS)? Check! It will be cheaper next year and dirt cheap in a few? Check! The Next Gen consoles will last another 7 years from launch? Check!

Let's face it, it might be a little too early right now, but before you realize it, there will be many people enjoying 4K gaming and the fact is, it won't happen on Xbox-one nor PS4, no need to hyde it, no point in fearing it.

Due to Console Game sales being the driving force of the industry, and due to the last console cycle lasting too long, we are at a point where even dead cheap PCs (which happen to be sold with MS Windows pre-installed) runs in circle around other type of offers.

Everyone owns a PC and as long as you use Steam with the Full Screen interface and a game pad, you're set if you like to sit in front of a TV.

Console gamers however buy Xbox One for Halo 5 and PS4 for the next blockbuster from Naughty Dogs, no matter what you do, if you don't have these "you're out" for them, period.

At this point I really can't decide to whom this machine is aimed at. The PC gamer which already owns a "steam box" that's far more compatible with (gasp) Steam's gaming library? The Console lover who will not have it without major exclusives?

It's a little baffling...

@alenth nostalgia has nothing to do with it, this game is a masterpiece of game design that stood the test of time egregiously. And it's not a matter of IGN vs GS either, the title in question has a metacritic average of 9 (from over 31 reviews), meaning that it's not IGN alone considering the game as great, but the greatest majority of all reviews worldwide.

I'm afraid that given the state of things, calling GS "impartial" and calling the rest of the world "fan boy" would be stretching it a little too far.

IGN gave it 9.8 and.., oh but wait...Game Spot is the same site that gave the Wii U version of Rayman Legends a FULL point less because the reviewer was totally inapt with the touch controls...figures...

@ @kiramasaki Nintendo is no small fish, it has been the world leader for quite a few years in a row (there isn't only USA)

http://www.vgchartz.com/analysis/platform_totals/

http://www.geekwire.com/2013/xbox-360-wii-ps3-won-console-generation/

Data updated as of August 2013.

The DS was their protable system untill 2011, sold 154 million units, the 3DS started from 2011 and is literally exploding now.

THe Wii just passed the 100 million units and is the 3rd home console to achieve this incredible feat after PS1 and PS2 (x360 and PS3 have not, and are far from doing so) your image of Nintendo being a small fish is beyond available sales data, financial statements, and worldwide market presence/distribution.

Don't think that because a company had a few hiccups for a few months it's suddenly on the verge of bankruptcy, that is all I had to say.
