Gotta say i really did like andrew ryan as a villain, he played his cards as if he was always in control of the situation even when the situation was as grim and twisted as rapture. Without him the second game really just didnt pack the same punch or pull the right strings. As for the reapers i think its a nice change that Bioware didnt just sit down like most developers and lay out all the details for the simpleton gamers "this is the bad guy and he is bad because: his his loved one was murdered/the government betrayed him/he's clinically insane." With mass effect the gamer is stimulated to form their own opinions which is a refreshing alternative.
