@Dream2696 , it works like this Killer Instinct is free to download giving you access to one character, JAGO, with wich you can complete the single player ladder, and compete in online matches. If you like it, you can opt to do one of 4 things.

1. keep it with a single character.

2. purchase only the characters you like for 4.99 a piece

3. purchase the combo pack for 20$ get all 8 launch characters, all stages and have a complete fighting game

4 purchase the ultimate combo pack giving you access to the 8 launch characters plus 2 dlc characters and extra outfits and a port of the original KI. For 40$ {the best value imo}

@Stogin @grognard @telaros actually stogin if you had done your research you would know that remedy has lamented their original launch window for alan wake. the problem with their launch date and the poor initial sales for alan wake was pinpointedly due to the fact it launched against Rockstars RED DEAD REDEMPTION. It simply couldnt compete with a behemoth, had it released any other time, it initially would have done better.

@robertcain @bunchanumbers so mis-informed you are, i posted yesterday how this was differing from defiance, the entire 1st season of the show will ship with the game, your descisions during gameplay determine which episodes are unlocked for viewing next,subsequently in the unlocked show you will get insights into the characters and motivations of the world around you and some hints as to where to go next in the gameplay, and lastly you can play as any of the characters including the villain, as i have heard it reported, i even posted a link to sam lakes interview during e3 about Quantum Break but since it was missed here it is again

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/18/e3-2013-quantum-break-gives-you-control-of-games-and-tv

oh and absolutely 0 mention of your conspiracy theory data collection hive minded journalism and watch dog behavior you mentioned.

dont compare to defiance, where defiance is aired on tv and then after several weeks an ingame event is planned, Quantum Break will ship with the entire first season of the show on the disk.. it was stated in an earlier interview just after e3 that the way this works is you play a chapter in the game, based on your decisions in that chapter you unlock a specific episode of the show, reflecting those decisions and outcomes, which then sets up the next episode of gameplay. this show will not be aired on tv on any network or cable it will ship with the game...http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/18/e3-2013-quantum-break-gives-you-control-of-games-and-tv theres the link to the interview with sam lake. this is sooo not a defiance clone
