I've been waiting for the redesign with included wifisince the original launched. I plan on getting this very soon. Paying $100 for a wifi dongle was the biggest rip off in gaming. Now, I have no excuse.

Does anyone know if this game supports widescreen and progressive resolution? A reviewer on Amazon mentioned it is 480i and does not support widescreen. I worry about burn in on my plasma, so I dislike playing long involving games iwth black bars.

Get an HDMI cable from Monprice. It won't cost you more than $7 with shipping.

I wanted to pick this up for the PS3, but all the reviews said it was very glitchy and inferior to the 360 version, and since I probably will pick up a 360 eventually (if they ever include wifi for free instead of charging $100 for a stupid dongle), I figured I'd wait on Orange Box. I've since read some unverified reports that many of the PS3 porblems were patched. Is this true? Is it safe to get Orange Box on the PS3? With Braid coming out on the PS3, that is one less reason for me to get a 360. If Orange Box on the PS3 is solid, that would be yet another game I don't need a 360 for.

Thanks for the heads up. The main reason I don't have a 360 yet is how expensive the wifi dongle is. I'm a single player kind of guy, but want my system connected for updates, and to download XBLA games, demoes, expansion content etc. Lag isn't a big issue for such things, so this gives me a cheaper solution and a reason to take the plunge.

Putting it in the console would have cost them less than $5 per console (as per the pricing reported for wifi inclusion in the PS3 and Wii). PS3 and Wii have it standard. But ok, they don't want to do it on ANY of their SKUs (why not even in the Elite?!?), fine, then charge a reasonable price for the attachment. $100 is the worst rip off in all of gaming, and is right up there with Monster cables for the worst rip off in electronics. With the 360's price drop, the $100 wifi is the single remaining reason why I still don't own a 360. I'm not going to be ripped off. A $100 wifi adapter is pathetic. They should cut it down to $50 max, and build it into the Elite models--it would be clear reason to go for the Elite over the 60GB model.

The day I can buy a 360 with wifi included, or the dongle for under $50, is the day I'll pick up a 360. As of now, I still see the 360 as a bad value hardware wise compared to the PS3, which includes wifi and a blu-ray player. And no, I'm not a PS3 fanboy--I don't want to have to get a PS3; I like the 360s game library better than either that of the Wii or the PS3. If MS would just not try to rip me off so bad on perpherals, I'd have the console and 20 games by now (I don't like getting ripped off on hardware, but I do buy lots of games--(25 for Xbox, 25 for GC, and 50 for PS2).

I am really shocked by this. I was so confident that the new 80GB model was BCless because it was labeled the core model. I was sure the new premium pack would have emulated BC. I really don't know why it doesn't. I can't see how emulation would cost anything since they've already developed the software. I was all set to take the PS3 plung this fall, but now I'll continue to wait. I still have a backlog of PS2 games I haven't played yet (too much work, not enough time). I can play them on my PS2, but as others have said, I have limtied space in my entertainment console downstairs, and I would prefer to be able to play all of my Playstation games in one spot on one machine. I know it is a long shot, but I really hope Sony reintroduces emulated BC again at some point.

[QUOTE="sfenty"]

[QUOTE="jack_russel"]Couldn't find it either. You could replace "tempest" with "breakout".jack_russel

That is the first title that came to mind. I guess I'll go with that. Do you know off hand of a device that has Breakout included?

Is this what you are looking for?

This will work. Thank you very much. I am still shocked that Tempest didn't make it on to one of these devices.

If it doesn't exist, can anyone please suggest an early 80s classic arcade game that is both abstract and addictive that is inluded in a plug and play device?
