Hehe. Of course I do Cybro. I posted it on here in one of the other threads IIRC. By the by, you need the hammer in the screenshot as well! :)

For "K" let's have a dungeon crawler in the style of Dungeon Master, Eye Of The Beholder and Captive. In fact speaking of Captive I believe this games engine was based on the same one used in Captive which isn't altogether surprising as Tony Crowther was responsible for both. Brits of a certain age may also remember the cult TV show. :)

Knightmare.

On a side note I really hope I get "L" next time around!

Does anyone recognise this game?

Was way ahead of it's time and could almost be considered a precursor to Grand Theft Auto 3 and onwards. A free roaming polygonal 3D landscape for you to explore in a wide variety of vehicles. Didn't quite get the success that I feel it deserved.

Hunter. By Activision.

Yep. It's Hunter from Activision.

One of EA's early games by Bullfrog (they who created the almighty Populous and Powermonger). A platformer who's protagonist(Quiffy) has to escape each level before drowning in the encroaching flood. Didn't do too well IIRC but I enjoyed it none-the-less.

Simply put the first poster starts at "A" and chooses a game to post. A picture and a few words about the said game would be nice but not necessarily compulsory. Consecutive posters each carry on with the alphabet with the second poster having "B" and third getting "C" etc etc, ad infinitum. Once through the alphabet means we start back at "A" to repeat the process although speaking of repeats the Amiga has quite an impressive catalogue so I don't want to see any repeats except possibly for some troublesome letters. I'm looking at you, "Q", here.

I'll try and keep up with a rundown of each game mentioned. Alternatively any other officers could keep it updated if they so wish.

Starting off then I'm going to choose Alien Breed. A top down search and shoot game that bears an uncanny influence from H.R.Geigers Alien and Ripleys nemesis.

Wasn't it also called Microprose F1? I remember being crap as well.

I much preferred Indianapolis 500 for the racing tricks mentioned here. Just snag the leader on the tight straight by the pits and watch everyone else just plough into them. It's almostlike being on the M5!Sneaky tricks, eh? Don't you just love 'em.

One can only hope they do. :)

It's about time Gfaqs and GS were updated for some of the older games and machines. I could possibly complete my collection then (and promptly have a heart attack at just what I spent all my youth on!). I hope you make some headway with this project.

Yes, this thread is all about past games making a return to current machines. Specifically, games that once graced our Amigas. This isn't intended to be a discussion on what games we all wish and hope for but rather as a sort of catalogue for games that have been re-issued or re-released on current machines. By current machines I'm talking about mainstream machines that are still available to purchase commercially although there are some exceptions.

  • PS3
  • PS2 (incl PS1 due to backwards compatibilty)
  • PSP
  • XBox 360 (incl XBox due to BC and XBox Live Arcade)
  • DS (both forms)
  • Wii (incl GameCube due to BC and the Virtual Console feature)

The games I'm looking for are remakes or ports e.g. James Pond Robocod on the PS2 is a remake of the old 16bit versions. Games that are not remakes and were developed specifically for the machine they were released on have no place here e.g. Micro Machines V3 on the PS1 is a continuation of the series and not classed as a remake of previous Micro Machines games.

If you find a game that hasn't been mentioned on here (quite likely to begin with) then please PM me with details and I will update it as soon as possible. Details needed would be such things as original title and current title (if there were any alterations), machine and region and a link to more information. Preferably the link should be to the individual games page on Gamespot but as we all know that there are many missing titles here this isn't always going to be possible. In this case then you could use a shopping site that sells it or something like that.

Any mods or Danny that feel like updating it directly then please feel free. Also please let me know if any of my information is duff or needs adjusting.

Thanks for reading and heeding peeps. :)

Many thanks go to Cybro for kickstarting this list. :)

All I know is that owning a copy without owning an original is illegal whereas owning a copy when you actually own the original as well is legal.

If I'm wrong then, please, correct me. :)
