I don't think the price is a big problem. And I don't think the price drop will happen that quickly.

Sony Japan collaborated with Beamsdesign for this pouch; it was released on Mar 24, finally got it today in the mail :D

Pretty good quality. But this case fits kinda snug, so I don't think you can use a crystal case with this. Hori's TPU protector frame case is okay though.

Also comes with a strap and cleaning cloth :D

@kairikh

Sorry, just realized you were probably talking about the red protector that I have on my Vita when you asked me about the "rear touch pad protector" (instead of the thin film protector)

I got the red TPU protector from this site:

(even though it doesn't cover up the rear touch pad... it does give you a better grip of the handheld:D)

@sakuranoame niceee nicee :) whered u find the rear touch pad protector :P ?? looks super classy on vita good pic :D

kairikh

Thanks for the compliment :D

You can find a rear touchpad protector from here (it's super thin, so it shouldn't cause any control issues):

There's also another one I saw on eBay the other day, it comes in a set with a screen protector. But since I haven't tried these protectors myself, don't know if its quality is good enough, nor do I know if the rear touchpad protector is thin enough to NOT affect the controls.

Got my Vita today. Screen + rear touch pad protectors applied as soon as I unboxed it. :D

There's supposed to be a Hori hard case in this picture as well, but the seller sent me the wrong colour, so I had to send it back for exchange last week, otherwise I would have everything ready for today

Even though I haven't played anything on my own Vita yet (still downloading demos and games on my PS3 from PSN), I did spend about 15 min @ the Vita booth in my local BestBuy.

I played through a bit of the Gravity Rush and Uncharted Golden Abyss deomos, the controls felt really good and smooth :D

[QUOTE="BonoBoy"][QUOTE="sonic0491"]

So last year I bought Ghost of Sparta. I never finished it on PSP.

I was looking forward to finishing it off on my new Vita.

The Vita only allows copying games to it if the games are uninstalled. Most of my PSP games are installed and don't seem to want to work even if copying to PSP anymore.

Okay, whatever. I go to download Ghost of Sparta again for transfer to Vita and there is no "already bought" icon. Okay, thats weird. Go through checkout... IT WANTS ME TO PAY $40 AGAIN!?

I've only downloaded it once for my PSP Go! What the hell!?

sonic0491

That sounds like you are just going to the ghost of sparta through the store. Try finding it in your downloads list. That might work for you.

Oh wow it was. I'm re downloading Ghost of Sparta, but Gran Turismo says it cannot be downloaded by the PS Vita system in that download list, yet it clearly gives me the option to buy it in the Vita games store! What the heck!?

The reason why you can buy Gran Turismo ON THE VITA is because you're accessing the PSN, which is the EXACT SAME store that you access from your PS3 or PSP. In other words, the store you log into on your Vita is NOT a Vita-only store. The store is also meant for PS3 and PSP. So you can buy Gran Turismo on your Vita, and play it on your PS3.

You can't download Gran Turismo onto your Vita, because it's not compatible with your Vita, at least for now, or until the game publisher changes their mind.

To answer your questions (I'm pretty positive about these answers, but pardon me if I were wrong):

1. system settings are stored on the Vita itself

2. game saves are stored on the flash memory card

If you don't plan on purchasing a lot of DLC from PSN, 4GB should be enough to get by.

But I do recommend 8GB, simply because there are game DEMOS or videos that you can download for free from PSN, and each of those files usually takes up about 150MB~400MB of memory.

I recommend hard cases made by Hori, and you can get them on Amazon nowadays for lower prices (I had to import them before for my PSP and DS Lite).

Or, if you don't mind importing, paying a lot more than a Hori hard case, and waiting until next month, you can preorder an official Japanese Sony case (in collaboration with BEAMSdesign in Japan) that really stands out:

(The site made a mistake translating the product name from Japanese, it should be: PSV... CLOTH & Strap Set. Cuz cloth and cross are written in the same characters in Japanese)

[QUOTE="ankor77"]Ive heard the import versionof gravity daze has an english option. Can u confirm this? I want this game so badly, damn u US delay!sakuranoame

Yes, you can get Gravity Rush with English option. But that would be the Asian version, NOT the Japanese version.

This game is sold out on many import sites that I know of, such as Play-Asia or YesAsia. But you can always sign up for e-mail notifications, so they'll inform you when the game is back in stock.

EDIT:

I just checked again, looks like the Asian version ONLY has English menu options, and NO English subtitles. In other words, the subtitles are only in Chinese. Sorry to disappoint and for giving you the wrong info :(
