Because a lot of us (me at least) bought it because of the free online. Because the idea that I'm saving 50$ a year is very appealing to me, can buy one more game with that money etc... I don't think this bait and switch is a good idea. This is assuming of course that they are charging for something similar to Xbox Live.
Well, Gamespot's reviews are great, especially the video reviews. Best I've seen anywhere, along with IGN, so I don't mind waiting. Because Gamespot's stuff is done so well, I assumed they were a really big outfit like IGN. Now that I know they aren't, maybe I'll see if I can give them some more page hits or etc to support them. Because they seem like the smartest game guys around, actually.michaelant
They are backed by Cnet as someone else said. They have branches in Uk and Japan to name a few. It's just laziness, thats all.
There aren't that many reviews yet. Nothing wrong with taking time with a review if that is what they are doing. Also GameSpot doesn't have as large of a staff as say, IGN. Just calm down there will probably be a review tomorrow.SoNin360
The excuse is Gamespot have a small staff? What about a site like Giantbomb? They have the review up. Nothing but slackers on this site. But I keep coming back.....
