I played through Halo 3, and I played the multi, and I earned the achievements. I didn't boost like most of the Halo 3 community. I got up to a certain rank, and I then decided that Halo 3 was not worth my time. It was basically Halo 2 on a next gen console, without the flare of a next gen game. I'm not some little kid, and I have been gaming since most of you were in diapers. I own all 3 systems because I can, and each of them has something to offer me. I like to be open minded, but listening to a little kid sing on the mic while playing this skill-less game isn't fun. There is nothing revolutionary about this game, it's just a generic remake of its older counter part a la Halo 2.
A fan boy I am not. I am a proud owner of all three systems, and have love for all types of games. And I created this topic because there are so many, "Halo 3 is the best game," topics. It is herald in almost any kind of forum you can name. Almost any and every game is compared to this so called "Monolithic" game. This game will be forgotton, and as for its epic story... "Epic it is not." It is full of useless garbage and no true emotion. The only people who fight for Halo 3 are its fan boys. Any true gamer that loved the Halo series before the third will tell you the same.
Gears of War makes Halo look like something I just left in the toilet. I hear people say that Gears campaign is greater, but that Halo 3 is where the multiplayer is at. In my opinion, Gears uses way more skill to play. Halo 3 is just run and gun. And if you die, just spawn again and again as much as your little heart desires. It is so easy to be in the top 3 at all times in Halo 3. I think that game is total garbage! If you want a truely good FPS, then CoD4 is where it's at. Bottom line, Halo 3 is garbage and should never make it toany type of "Greatest Games of All Time List."
Get it off the blanket! Put it on a surface that it can breathe on. And definitely not the carpet because of static charge. The coolers don't do anything. I still got the RROD due to overheating. Save your money and purchase a stand to put your system on.
