Yeah that is a very good point about the over active imaginations. I definately believe that there are aliens and that they have visited us... I have been watching thsi documentary adn have been wondering, whats you guys's take on the bermuda triangle?
I cn remember being a child and I always thought that there was life out there. I can remember going to church (my nan made me go, she was very christian) and when I said I thought there was life out there she always told me to stop being stupid. I can remember being 7 and she told me this and she took me to the minister and he told me that there couldn't be life out there and that we are gods children and all this bull. But in the end i put to him the theory... Well we know that there are thousands of millions of planets out there, then how could earth be the only planet that can sustain life... there must be another planet out there with all the planets there is that has the right conditions for life, even if the life was different in that it breathed different stuff or lived under water etc. and they didnt reply to me at all they just told me to stop being silly and that I have an overactive imagination.. So I still believe in what I said back then and there must be life out there..
(My story was in simpler words back then but teh basis was the same, remember I was only 7...)
Wow quite abit of stuff I didnt know there. I knew about evolution, survival of the fittest from biology but this Retrovirus's business I havent heard of before. Its alot for my little 15 year old brain to take in, but ive had to understand worse things, like Stephen Hawkins book: A brief history in time. Now theres a hard book to read..
Well I dont know what I would do really. I am guessing that to start off with I would spend alot of time with my family and friends, dropping out of school. I would also do everything that has always interested me, such as sailing/flying through the bermuda triangle, visiting Area 51 that sort of thing...
I dont think the devil is a body, person, spirit or what have you. I think its just evil personified, everything that is wrong comes from our actions and our own free will. So if we think about it we could kind of say that we are all "devils" as we all have "evil". Amd i think the devil theory comes from people not wanting to blame god for evil in the world, and also not wanting to face up to the fact that they were the ones that performed an act of evil.
Ratinoally speaking I would say No.. To me we have a consciounce and not a soul. BUt when I was younger I had what is called an out of body experience. You may think I am making this up but I can remember watching myself sleepwalk and watch my riend trying to stop me as he was staying over... Sounds strange and has always been something I have never been able to explain, but I know for sure that it happened. Apparently 1 in 10 people experience it...
For me to convert to religion... Well I have already converted from religion so I would need serious substantial evidence proving that God exists. And as I dont see that jappening I cant see me converting back..
Hi. Im Rogan or Josh. Im a 15 year old male living in britain. I was originally a chrsitian from a child to the age of 9. Then I stopped going to church because I lost faith and now I am a evolutionist and believe in the big bang. Originally I never thought that there would be a union on here like this but i was shocked (In a good way) when I saw this. Looks like a good place to discuss important issues.
