SSX 3 followed by super mario galaxy. I just don't think I've ever had nearly as much fun playing those two. Whichever system a new ssx comes out on I am buyin.

oh man... this is gonna do 2 things, a 3 install limit is gonna make some people pissed and buy less games, while at the same time pirates will find a way around it in days, almost guarunteed.

well, I'm not a super gamer myself, and I have to say that super mario galaxy blows anything out of the water on the old systems, I even prefer it over any of the current stuff. Sure you've got more detail in a game like Gears of War, but does that detail make it actually more fun than super mario? I really don't think it does. I think people are forgetting to factor in how the graphical detail applies to the fun of the game, Ninja Gaiden wasn't great only because it looked good it was damn fun to play.

I found it boring, like a really big tech demo. More of a graphical accomplishment than a game, I played for maybe 10 hours and never once thought, wow that was fun. The cities seemed so lifeless,. There was no ambience to it, in morrowind when you step off the ship, and you see the water and hear the music, the world seems real, but oblivion was nothing like that. The graphics seemed almost hollow, like when you look at a building it just seemed like a graphical replication, but in morrowind, I saw a building and wondered what was inside it, who owned the place.

I like shooters that aren't super tactical simulation, more action oriented like Call of Duty, but not too twitchy like Unreal. Umm I like strategy games that aren't micro management. I like a good RPG in general, except for hack and slashish sort of games. Arcade racers like Burnout, sports games like SSX. Anything that is fast and fun really. I know Halo is on Xbox and MGS4 and ff are going to PS3, asides from those I am not sure which games are gonna be good. As I have a lack of time I either very specifically get a game I want like SSX or get the systems top top tier games like Zelda or Halo or Final Fantasty.

So I'm deciding on an Xbox or a PS3. I don't know much about them because I have been out of the loop. So can you guys give me a list of what you think are the top 10 past and future games of each console.

Is UT3 half decent, I like online shooters where you can use strategy, IE battlefield games instead of straight up run and gun where your twitchiness is the only thing that really matters(ala Counterstrike)

All good recommendations, but I'm looking for something to take advantage of my computer. I mean I spent the money and may as well use it. For example, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition had a mediocre story and ok action, but the pace was so great and my computer made it look so good that I just had a blast playing it and I almost never even picked it up. There was no tedium to the game, it was exciting and just fun. These are the kind of games I am looking for, that's why BioShock was so good as well, an amazing atmosphere that you could soak in without having to do work to get any fun out of it. Half-Life as well, damn that game was awsome. Games that place fun over anything else, that's what I like.

So i've got this fairly nice computer that can run Crysis quite well and I need something to play but none of the games I've tried recently have been much fun. I love RPG's like Diablo, but hate ones that involve complicated stories. I love fps's like Bioshock and Crysis but I hate games like Call of Duty, WW2 or modern day combat sims(blech). I'm not against MMO's or rts's it's just anything with a tedious grind I will instantly chuck, the collect resources, build army, attack, repeat thing drives me nuts and so does grinding it out in mmo's. I play games for the fun of it and if there's any tedium to it I will not play. Any suggestions because I am at a loss here, I would really appreciate some advice. Online games can be great too, as long as they aren't super time consuming and tedious.

Here is a list of games I have played and beat or don't want to play:

-Oblivion

-Gears of War

-The Witcher

-Gothic 3

-Crysis

-Bioshock

-Call of Duty 4

-FEAR

-The Warhammer rts's

-Gothic 3

-Any HL2 related game
