@Letlive_Fan @rene9ade520 I understand that, and it seems you at least understand what I am getting at as you said "it might not have been the pinnacle of professionalism". That is my main point. He also pulled the "take my ball and going home" scenario where he ended the show saying that he "was disappointed and may not be back next week to host the show". When he said that, I was really hopeful that he would just walk if that was how he chose to address his viewers.

As for an insulted colleague, I agree that I too would stand up for my colleague. But I would do it in a professional manor and not use my show to do so. Not all of his viewers were at fault and did not verbally attack his colleague...so why should they have to watch him rant about it rather than getting the regular show content they have come to expect. Plus, this is the internet, and they are in an area of Journalism that is heavily focused on criticism. These journalist's incites are put in the limelight so it is expected that their will be angry viewers. That doesn't give you the right to go live and say "f-you" to them and then get paid for doing it. How often have you seen news reporters openly give the finger to the camera while doing their segment of a program?

@barrybarryk @rene9ade520 I do believe you are jumping to conclusions. I did not say that I supported the jackwads that were trolling comments, what I was getting at is that as a critic and journalist, it is not his job to get defensive about how people react to GS postings by using his airtime to post insults in a defensive manor.

Also, as I stated, I was not one of those he was referring to when he said "f you". In fact, your comment fits perfectly in correlation to the comments he had been talking about when he said it. So, the irony, is you are one of the people I am choosing to boycott his posts for. Kinda silly huh. But its about respect and you have to give it to get it ("feel free to take a hint")...which is why he no longer has mine. As a result, I won't support him.

Also, I did not say I don't feel welcome on GS...that was another assumption you make. And I have no plans on leaving GS anytime soon unless their journalists continue down this road. ...had you asked me a month ago though, I was close to a avoiding GS altogether. Fortunately, some good articles have been released within the last month or so which reestablish my respect for at least some of authors here.

@RPGEndBoss @rene9ade520 ...its not about being childish to choose not to support an author who tells his fans "f-you". Its about self respect and the respect of others whom he is insulting. Needless to say, some f the people he said it too probably did deserve it...but that's not his job to do so.

@muffin200 @rene9ade520 in the comments section yes, but I didn't watch the video. And I am not avoiding GS as a whole, just this guy.....unless I find out it was GS who wrote the material and told him to say "F You" to their fans. But as far as I know, that's not the case.

@focuspuller @rene9ade520 I can. There are many other gaming sites. Besides, at this point, I still plan to come to GameSpot for some of my gaming news just not the pieces this guy is the main contributor of.

@RPGEndBoss @rene9ade520 I disagree. If someone in a post says it I could care less. But these people are getting paid big bucks for what they do. Anyone can get defensive, jump on cam and say "F You". That's not Journalism. And if a journalists writes a critic piece, and then gets offended when others criticize their critic, that is both hypocritical and ludicrous. Again, these guys get paid good money for this. How is not supporting that behavior childish.

Honestly, though I am interested in Wolfenstein, I won't be watching this snippet. Actually, after what's-his-feedbakula-face-dude told GameSpot fans "f*ck you" to all of his viewers in defense of a score another GS critic gave GTA, I won't be watching or reading most anything he is featured in. Idk if GameSpot gave him the go ahead to do what he did in his last post and they are the ones at fault or if it was solely on him....but one way or another, I think either GS should apologize for the post, or he should be let go. Last I checked, its not common practice for media to directly insult there viewers by telling them "f*ck you". I wasn't even one of the viewers the insult was directed at, but I think it was pretty childish and unprofessional and don't wish to support such journalistic behavior.

Oh, I understand that...but as a reviewer of gamespot, I would expect that the scoring system used would have the same restraints as far as what is taken into account when reviewing a title. Gamespot has an accolade for worthy sequel....so I would assume that is one of their restraints. And being as that is, I would expect the reviewer would contrast the new game to the old which would also take the rating of the old game into account. But I did I only just now realized GTA 4 didn't come out this year....thanks for pointing that out (sarcasm). I think that GTA V stands up this year every bit as much so as GTA IV did when it came out...and in some ways, ever more so as it has stood the test of time. And I don't think that is too far fetched as the came has received almost perfect scores from every other critic. As for the GameSpot computer....I really have no clue what you mean by that?

At the same time, these reviewers are better know as 'critics'. there is a saying that goes, "everyone hates a critic". So, in my opinion, critics should be ready to take some grief....it is to be expected. Critics should be able to recieve a little critiscism themselves, even if it is ignorance. But, to pool your own resources, and publicly say f*ck you to a large portion of your audience, especially one you helped create, is....as he put it, juvinile, and more importantly, unprofessional.

Furthermore, while I am far from outraged about the 9.0 score, i have to agree it is a poor score. My main reason for that is GTA 4 got a perfect 10. That makes no sense as in that 5 is better in every way. I understand that maybe they could feel in time the franchise has not held up with so many other great titles, but this is not the second game of the series.......4 took a 10 even after something like six previous installmants. How is 5 a different case?
