Microsoft knows technology, they've been doing it a long time. Sony will never truly 100% be able to hold up to Microsoft. I love my Xbox, and what you said about the 360's current advantages are true, but your last sentence is just stupid. Sony is the consumer electronics manufacturer, traditionally, at least. Microsoft's foray into anything more than minor PC peripherals didn't even begin before the first Xbox.
