@willzihang @reeltalk5 @Red-DogBluewolf @bodeeremita Nor do I see a grounded, genuine point in anything you've said on this thread.

I read your response the first time, and you're still wide of the point. Banning guns won't make them disappear, gradually or otherwise.

We aren't ever going to be rid of guns, the same way you can't get rid of electricity, automobiles, or any other (potentially dangerous) technology that changes human society forever.

When I say we need to live with them responsibly, that includes sensible laws that control the way guns are sold and distributed. It also includes educating those who seek to own a gun how to safely own and use it - think along the lines of a driver's license, but for guns. We don't allow people to just buy a car and jump behind the wheel without understanding how to safely use one - why should we let people do this with a weapon? A gun owner's license should also require a psychological screening to determine the MENTAL HEALTH of the applicant.

Mass shooters are all mentally unstable. Trying to ban guns isn't going to stop the criminally insane from hurting others and themselves. The issue of mass-shooters is one of mental health, not whether or not we should ban guns for everybody.

I think we need better gun control laws in the United States, but I am not dumb enough to think that laws alone are enough to solve the problem or mass shooters or gang-related violence.

Just because you forfeit your right to own and use weapons doesn't mean everyone else should.

@willzihang @reeltalk5 @Red-DogBluewolf @bodeeremita Because that wouldn't be the net result, dude. You are speaking of a legal ban on guns like it would erase gun violence, which is naive to say the least.

You can't wish guns back into the box of invention with a law. 310,000,000 + of them are in the US. Now we have to learn how to live with them responsibly.

@willzihang @reeltalk5 @Red-DogBluewolf @bodeeremita The school massacre person was criminally insane. Insane people do insane things. The vast majority of gun violence in the United States occurs in gang-related crimes.

@jhonMalcovich Thanks for the tirade. Owning a gun doesn't make you any of the things you just described though.

@willzihang @Red-DogBluewolf @bodeeremita willzihang, criminals don't buy their guns legally. Legally banning guns is not going to make it any harder for criminals to get guns.
